OEM Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900 Battery Door Back Cover Replacement - Charcoal Black (Samsung Logo)

The Samsung back is truly a genuine Samsung product, fit & work's perfect, great price! The backs from 2 of our Samsung S5's were taken by some young dude called J.D. at Best Buy when I had to have phone reflashed last summer. I hated the $50 dollar black leather S Window case we originally purchased for 2 of our S5's & purchased Otter Boxes & found they wouldn't work without back, that's when I discovered the backs were missing from bag. Important note, I accidentally bought only back I could find on Amazon in December 2014, it is a charging back for tray chargers, you can't use with the Otter box with cover glass, it does will fit into Otter Box without cover glass & clip, so put on my son's phone w that case. I bought a Galaxy S5 from T-Mobile, model number SM-G900T3. My back cover was cracked, so I hoped to find a replacement on Amazon. I approached cautiously, noting the mixed reviews (some complaining that the cover was fake, or it didn't fit etc). I searched through different sellers' ratings, and decided to go with OEM Battery Supply, due to their stellar rating. The case was a perfect fit for my phone! Thinking of buying a couple more (as the cover is made of plastic and can crack easily). Highly recommended!

I have thought about upgrading my Samsung Galaxy S5 for a while... fortunately I didn't jump on the S7 train! But the real thing that's slowed me down is that I love the replaceable battery in the S5. I have a little charger, and when I need to quickly charge my phone, I can go from near 0% to 100% in about 30 seconds... just shut off the phone, pop off the back panel, swap for a freshly-charged battery, and start up the phone. It astounds me that this isn't more popular considering how much nuisance people go through to charge their phones. Alas, all that popping off the back caused the back panel to deteriorate and after years, I needed a new one. This inexpensive replacement has worked very well. The gasket seems just like my old one (some people reported it was harder, but I didn't experience that). It's like my phone is new again (especially since I replaced the glass too after a recent... uh... incident :-) ). This will let my S5 go on for hopefully years to come.

I purchased this item because the original failed less than three weeks after I received the phone. The latches broke out of the original, which seems to be the common mode of failure. I can say this product seems to be a duplicate of the original, and it does fit. I immediately installed a hard shell on the phone, thus burying the subject back cover. It has now been installed for about three weeks, and having removed the hard shell momentarily, the back appears to be in good shape. That's longer than the original lasted, but this one hasn't been subjected to handling stresses, either. There are lots of these things, and I think people are sometimes confusing them. This product does appear to be what it claims to be.

Pretty sure this is a true OEM the color is slightly darker, but I'm pretty sure that's just because my cover has possibly faded in the sun. I didn't try a water immersion to test the seals, but they look good. I had to by this cover because most of my clips that hold the cover to the back of the phone broke off and made it no longer waterproof. This new back is now attached securely and I'm no longer worried about accidentally dropping it in some water. I still will put it in a waterproof phone bag with floaties attached to it when I'm out on the jet ski though; I'm not an idiot.

A perfect fit and, except for the service provider marking, it's exactly the same design as the original. A bit lighter in color but the same texture and waterproofing seals. There is a small locking tab at the bottom of my old cover and probably the reason it broke. I see now that you should always install the bottom edge first. I'm very happy with my replacement part.
