Safe, Natural Alternative That Really Does Work
I think I stumbled unto this product while I was doing some kind of search on Google one day, and when I read about it, I did get a little curious as to whether or not this would actually be good. With that said, I took a chance and bought this here on Amazon, and let me just say that this is a very cool alternative to petroleum jelly, which I won't use because of how harmful it is.First and foremost, it smells great, and it doesn't feel greasy at all on your skin, which is a big plus. Also, it's really smooth and you don't need a lot of it when you apply it. With petroleum jelly, you'll find that you will have to apply a bit more of that, than you would with the Waxelene. Another great thing about this, obviously, is that it only contains natural ingredients like the organic rosemary oil, vitamin e, and beeswax, which is a great benefit for your skin and overall health in general. This stuff can be used in quite a few other ways too, which makes it a really good buy for your money.I'll definitely be back on Amazon to buy more of this, once my first jar runs out. As long as you're not allergic to any of the ingredients in Waxelene, I honestly recommend taking a chance on this product and trying it out for yourself. Thanks to Amazon for carrying this product!!

Why such a steep price increase?
I first came across this product nearly 9 years ago at Whole Foods, It’s an excellent product. The price of it back then? $25 per 9 ounce jar. I used this product as a diaper ointment for my son for a few years. Fast forward a few years my daughter was born and I decided to continue this product because of such great success for my son. By this time, Whole Foods no longer carried it and I purchased it directly. The price: $50 per 9 ounce jar. So I decided to take the 5 jar deal at $40 per 9 ounce jar. That lasted a few years. Here we are today. The price per 9 ounce jar is $80 and no special deals. No buy more, save more. Nothing. I suspect despite product success the company is having financial shortfalls or experiencing an abundance of greed. For a product that works well, I recommend. These next 2 jars I buy will hopefully be my last cause that’s some seriously expensive but ointment. For a product that is overpriced I do not recommend. A 9 ounce mixture of beeswax, soybean oil, rosemary oil, and vitamin E oil, organic or not, don’t cost $80.

Excellent for my flaking facial skin
The skin on the T-zone area of my face is constantly flaking, itchy and red. And sometimes it goes into my eyebrows which makes it look like I have dandruff on my face. I've tried so many different products (prescription eczema creams/ointments, creams for dermatitis, nivea soft creme, sensitive facial lotions, vaseline...etc) and nothing else has helped! I saw a smaller sized bottle of this at Bed, Bath and Beyond...so I decided to give it a try since I already love beeswax candles and lip products. I loved it to much that I opted to get this larger sized bottle from Amazon. I had used this product for about a week and my T-zone has not flaked or itched at all! This does not irritate my skin (and believe me, I have very sensitive skin and have had severe eczeme growing up). It does leave a slight sheen on your skin but it's not as shiny as petroleum jelly so you're able to head out the door without looking like a baby that just got buttered up by mom. It has a very faint sweet smell from the beeswax and the rosemary adds a nice touch. Don't worry about the scent being overpowering as it is very faint and pleasant smelling (although, my husband who doesn't have allergies claimed he could not smell it at all). I read some other reviews where people complained about the gritty texture. I found that it seems gritty in the container, but once you scoop some product out and apply it to your skin, it doesn't seem gritty at all because you're rubbing it out and it smoothes out on your skin easily. I will definately be a lifetime customer to this product seeing as it has many different uses for it.

Best lip balm and under eye moisturizer ever! No nasty chemicals, all natural.
This stuff is fantastic, wish I had discovered it years ago. I mostly use it for lip balm, for which it is perfect. All natural ingredients, and a jar this size should last for many years if that is all you use it for. I also think it makes a wonderful final step eye cream. I use my serums, then a couple drops of oil, then I seal everything in with some Waxelene. Works perfectly. Also great for any area with dry skin. If I ever manage to use up this huge jar, I will absolutely buy more.EDITED after also buying a FLIP-TOP TUBE to carry in my purse:The flip top tube is very handy to carry in your purse or pocket, and surprisingly large (double or triple the size of a normal lip balm container). Obviously, you pay far more per ounce to buy it in a tube, but for me, the convenience is worth the extra cost to have it ready to go in my pocket without having to unscrew the lid on the little jar I was hauling around for away from home use.

Works great, smells bad.
Works great for dry heels, knuckles, etc. I wouldn't get overly excited about it, it's just oil and wax, and any product like this would work the same. It's really thick and paste-like at normal room temperatures. In the summer, it gets a lot softer of course. It can be somewhat oily, depending on room temperature and body temperature - I mean, it has oil in it. On that subject, it does have soy oil, but make sure you read some factual scientific data before you make conclusions about the effect of topically applied soy products. It come in a glass jar.Now for my complaint - the rosemary. I'm a dude, and I only use this at night otherwise I smell like an old lady. I wish they would replace it with something else, or just remove it. Vaseline is odorless, so I'm not sure how they can make a fair comparison of this product to petroleum jelly. If they removed the rosemary, and just left it with its natural smell, then it would be a 5 star product.
