Does what it says!
The contents seem fine, should save some work winding the bobbins! Unfortunately, I think the postman must have damaged the box as one of the hinges is broken

Wasted time trying to find the end to the cotton so I could get started
Looks good on paper but the quality was not as good as I would have expected. Bobbins are great and the variety of colours are great but the sewing thread spools let the order down. I couldn't find the end to the cotton thread on any of them, which made my sewing project very tedious. I tried prizing the cotton away with needles and scissors but gave up in the end.

Comprehensive set; very handy to have in your repertoire.
I am pleased with my sewing set. The various colour threads allow for many different colour garments. And I have managed to match many threads in the set for my garments when hemming or sewing buttons etc.

Not machine thread
The thread in this set is not suitable for machine sewing. It is too fluffy giving off tiny fibres that clog up the sewing machine. Every few centimetres the thread was breaking and stitching was inconsistent. Compared to gutermann thread, which works smoothly every time, this thread was very poor quality. Would probably be fine for hand sewing but not for a sewing machine.
