Gentle Relief Without The Foggy Side Effects
Been struggling with the winter blues for years and always hesitant about prescription options after a bad experience with SSRIs. Decided to give these St John's Wort tablets a go after my sister recommended them, and I'm genuinely impressed with the difference they've made.Started taking them about six weeks ago when the shorter days were really getting me down. Didn't notice much for the first two weeks, but then gradually realized I wasn't waking up with that familiar sense of dread. My mind feels clearer, and I'm not snapping at the kids over little things anymore. The dosage is straightforward - one tablet twice daily. They're a decent size but not those massive horse pills some supplements come as. No unpleasant taste either, which is a bonus. The bottle says they're vegan too, which matters to my daughter who's staying with us currently. What I appreciate most is the lack of side effects. No drowsiness, no weird dreams, no dry mouth - all issues I've had with prescription options. I can actually function normally while taking these, which wasn't the case before. At 120 tablets, the bottle lasts two months, making them reasonably priced for the relief they provide. For anyone experiencing mild anxiety or that slightly low mood that just won't shift, especially during these gloomy British winters, these are worth trying before jumping to stronger options. They've helped me feel more like myself again without feeling artificially "happy" or zonked out. Will definitely be keeping these in my medicine cabinet year-round.

Consider giving these a try!
I've been taking these at the recommended dose of 2 tablets per day for just over a month now and I would say that they have brought some improvement to how I feel. It seemed to work fairly quickly and I did feel a difference in the first few days - but you may need to persist longer in taking them to see an effect. It's subtle, I'm not seeing everything in rainbows and unicorns, but I definitely feel less anxious/introspective and have also felt more motivated. I don't think it's just a placebo effect. Side effects: for me the main ones have been occasional headaches and maybe a bit of light-headedness/dizziness. I'm putting this down to the St. Johns Wort but there may not be a causal relationship. Even if these are from the tablets, those side effects are worth it for the improvement, for me at least. As some other reviewers have pointed out they are fairly large tablets, but I've found them manageable to swallow. You do need to be careful about interactions with other medicines you may be taking - St. Johns Wort has a long list of medications that it can interfere with, so do make sure to do your research/get medical advice before taking them.

Great product, highly recommend.
Liked:- Results. Positive changes in my mood (suffering from mild depression) and general outlook.- noticiable difference in the way in which i would react to things. for instance, things that used to bother me seemed so pointless to worry or stress over. I had people notice I was calmer and just a bit more relaxed. In combination with my beta blocker, the 2 pretty much cured my insomnia issue. Obviously seek medical advice before taking with prescribed medicine, I spoke to my GP about using this to help with mild depression instead of another pharmaceutical drug and used in accordance with his recommendation.Disliked:Size of tabletTaste (horrible after taste)Price (seems a bit over priced for what it is)Overall i would massively recommend to anyone who wants a bit more calm or suffers of mild depression or aniexty on the review of their GP.

Very effective
I have had Saint johns from the herbalist in tincture form but these are far much better than what I was getting. Every time I have felt low these have helped. No side effects you just have to be careful with some medications but I am on none. These for me are more effective than any antidepressant I have ever been on. Also Saint johns is a potent anti-inflammatory and also helps my pain. I’m usually taking these 6 months of a year. I always have these in my cupboard as it only takes a few days to work for me and they’re totally a life saver.

Be careful
I have tried St John's Wort before for anxiety and depression and had a bad experience. The last time I tried it I got a severe headache and it also raised my blood pressure. I later found out this happened because there are certain foods and drinks you aren't supposed to eat or drink while taking St John's Wort including Marmite or any other kind of yeast extract, red wine and certain types of beer. Eating or drinking these foods and drinks while you are taking St John's Wort can cause something called a tyramine reaction and some symptoms of this are severe headaches and high blood pressure. I normally eat Marmite almost everyday which is probably why this happened to me. I didn't know about this reaction until I had already disposed of the St John's Wort tablets the first time. Now I know about this reaction I'm giving St John's Wort another try. For now I'm giving it 3 stars as I haven't been on it long enough to know if it works for me. So far this time I haven't had any negative side effects because I have been avoiding the foods and drinks that cause the tyramine reaction. If it does help with my depression and anxiety I will give this more than 3 stars and update this review. If you are on any medications you need to speak with your doctor before you try St John's Wort because there are a lot of medications St John's Wort interferes with and not all of these medications are antidepressants. If you need something for depression or anxiety or both like me it might be worth giving this a try but you should speak to your doctor first.
