My wife and I enjoy playing backgammon at restaurants while waiting for food to be served, and the WE Games Travel Backgammon set is perfect for us. With its compact 9x14 opened size, we can set it on the smallest of tables and not have it in the way of the food after it is served. The manufacturing quality of the set is excellent and well worth the price. When opened, the board lies flat as it should. Although the checkers are naturally smaller than those of a full-size set, we find them quite easy to handle, and being magnetic they stick nicely in position if we slide the opened board around. The biggest complaints we have are trivial. With the closed set is the size of a large hard-backed novel, the wrist strap is not a good way to carry it, but it is easily removed. When open, the center bar is not flat from side-to-side, but that is more aesthetic than anything else, because the magnetic checkers stick to it just fine, even if the lean and appear that they might fall off. All in all, if you are looking for a small backgammon set, this is a great one.

Very nice backgammon set. Pieces are slightly magnetized to stay where you place them. Case/board folds well and zipper seems good quality. My husband does have a bit more trouble with the small pieces. Overall, I love the set and would buy it again.

First of all, I received a copy of this set which hasn't the same flaw as shown on the official videos on youtube. The whole set opens completely, without one side being 'hanged' in the air. The overall build quality is really good. Set's size is okay for travelling, but I wouldn't expect you could put it in your tightly packed backpack or a bag in case of travelling without a car. One of the reasons I've purchased this set is that it contains soft dice cups and the whole finish is soft too. Sometimes I play backgammon in cafes with my girlfriend and we don't want to distract others because of the sound of rolling dices. This set is ideal for quietening your play. Pieces are okay overall, they're quite nice, but I confirm reviews of other users that each piece has a dot on the side that lacks paint. It's not a no-buy issue, but it's there for the perfectionists. Dices are okay, but most likely you will want to use some better ones. Now, what brings me the pain of using this set is how pieces are handled across the board. I mean, it's not THAT terrible, but damn, these leather triangles that imitate a hole for a piece prevent pieces from smooth sliding on the board. Pieces constantly cling upon them and in most situations you will want to pick them and place them where they belong instead of sliding them. The same goes for pieces that are sitting in the corner of the board. And on top of all of this, all of the pieces are extremely small and perfectly flat which makes lifting them up a hard task. Probably, I will look for better options of pieces later. The set is not perfect, but really good. I don't want to return it, but maybe just because of the fact, I haven't seen anything better than this one.

This is a nice Backgammon set. Closed, it's about the size of a hardcover book, nice for travel. The pieces feel well made, nice and smooth. I am a fan of the "Lost" TV series. This is the same model they used in "Lost", first season, episode 2. I have purchased it and compared it to the shows footage, they are the same. You can look here for a picture of the backgammon set they auctioned off from the set after "Lost" ended. [...] This is not 'deluxe', high-end quality. Well made, but not very fancy, but not cheaply made plastic. I can see it lasting a long time, not something I foresee having to replace from wear. This is a nice set, the pieces are magnetic, so it's easier to keep them together, so they don't get lost :)

Great set. Nice to have the magnetic version to keep checkers in place. Small enough for travel but plant big enough for a game. Taught my grandson to play. We had a ton of fun

元々ウォルマート等で40ドル程度の商品なので、ストラップに歪みがあったり、多少雑な点はあるものの 簡単に取り出せてどこでも楽しめ、ボードの形がちゃんと立体的になっているので駒やダイスが落ちる心配もなく、どこでも遊びやすいです。 閉じた状態で大きめの聖書のようですが、これ以上小さいと駒を置くなどの動作がしづらいと思うので、サイズ感も理想的。 注意点は、素材「Leatherette」はフェイクレザーのことなので、本革と勘違いしないよう…。安い組み立て家具やビニール製品のような「開封してしばらく気になる臭い」は、あります。 あと販売しているのはAmazon自体ではなく「出品者」なので、各出品者が自由に決めた価格。 ちなみに私は9千円弱、発送はAmazon（国内）の出品者さんから購入しました。 円安と送料考えたら、ギリ納得。本音は6千円ぐらいが妥当かなーというところですが、円安と輸送費高騰考えたら仕方ないって感じです。なんでも高いですよね〜。 高級品と期待して高値で買われるとガッカリすると思いますが、商品自体は素晴らしいと思います。

I ordered this to try to replace one I used many years ago . ( nostalgia ) I am not one to usually give 5 stars, unless totally warranted, but I couldn't fault this. I wanted a darker board as I don't like the bright rather garish ones and I also wanted one that had a more velour interior. This has all that and also the magnetic counters are , as someone else has previously commented, not too magnetic but gently stay in place and don't move off their position. I am delighted with my purchase ( delivered under 24 hours form purchase)

Bought it as a gift, but decided to keep it! I will buy another one for my friend... very well made and perfect for travel!
