BODUM 1 Litre 34 oz 1-Piece 8-Cup Stainless Steel Frame Caffettiera Coffee Maker, Red

I have one of the small cafetieres by Bodum but although it says it is for ONE cup it really isn't so I decided I needed a bigger one .It arrived this morning and is brilliant ....well made and stylish and although I don't use it fulll to the brim it gives me leeway to make enough to give me a large mug of coffee . The glass fits well but not so tight it can't be taken out ( as is the case with my smaller one ) ....I'm well pleased with my purchase and a very reasonable price ....perhaps I should buy a spare glass just in case ... One tip ..Always ignore these descriptions that say 3 CUPS or 4 CUPS etc . Use the Ml capacity where it is given and they all should give it as CUPS means different things to different folks .

The classic French press. Great value. Beautiful design. If you know how to use them - always wonderful and better than any cheaper imitations. The only drawback to any French presses is that they’re horrible to clean and leave coffee grounds all over the place (if you’re me).

It is not as sturdy as I expected - it is very lightweight and I worry about knocking it over or banging the glass against something. Our earlier ones, a different design and plastic not metal, were much sturdier and I felt I could "wave them about." I wouldn't with this one. I treat it with care! That said, it is very good so long as you remember not to treat it roughly,, and performance is even better than the type we had earlier. To look at it is delightful, no question. But 3 warnings. The glass will fall out if you even just tilt the gadget. You must hold it at all times. So when moving it about, keep it upright. When you pour the coffee, hold the gadget with both hands, this is essential - one holding the handle, the other holding the top of the plunger firmly down inside the glass, or the glass will fall out. And when you wash it out, you can do so with the glass in or out, but in the latter case again hold with care so glass can't fall out. We found with our earlier type that the glass would not fall out when the contents were hot, and indeed it soon became difficult to get the glass out of its plastic holder so that cleaning the whole thing properly including shining the glass was something one didn't do every time and this would lead to making it even harder to separate the two parts as they became a bit "mucky" - frustrating. Hence partly why I bought this different design now with the metal holder instead of plastic and so long as you are careful of the glass, it cleans very easily and quickly indeed and stays looking pristine. So it depends what you want! Would I buy this again rather than our earlier type? I think I'd seek a compromise - more sturdy than this one, but not the plastic again as it's not so attractive.

I purchased this an 8 cup back in 2017. When it arrived I remember thinking oh dear this isn’t very good quality and it’s not going to last. I eat my words now as it has given us great service until this morning when having emptied the coffee grouts onto the garden, I came back inside and promptly knocked the glass over and it smashed into many pieces. It has served us well and unlike some reviews, ours had a snug fit into the metal holder and wouldn’t slip out. I now have to decide whether to just to buy a replacement glass jug or the whole thing.

Great little gadget. Looks nice in my kitchen, makes great coffee, simple to use and clean (unlike the big coffee machine that lives in the shed now). It’s also very affordable.

A lovely cafetiere. Very stylish and the colour is great. Looks good on the table. I would recommend.

It is flimsy in that the pitcher falls from the frame whenever I am pouring the coffee out. I have to hold it with 2 hands always so it doesn't fall. This was the cheapest Bodum item of its capacity, so I guess we get what we pay for.

I have been using this for a month now and it is a good quality product. Works fine for loose tea, chicoree and coffee. I should point out that it is quite big! I didn't properly read when ordering it and it is quite big for my daily personal use. It will come in handy when I have family round. If you are looking for something for use by one person, I recommend getting the 3 cup one.

Die Farbe ist noch viel schöner als auf dem Foto. Ich hatte erwartet, dass es ein wenig billig wirken würde. Irrtum. Sieht super aus. Meine alte French Press von Bodum war braun und ich wollte mal eine andere Farbe morgens anschauen. Das braune Plastik sah billiger aus als das rosafarbene jetzt. Würde ich wieder kaufen.

No hay nada que decirle, Bodum es el estándar dorado con la cafetera "French Press". Funciona perfectamente, el sabor es magnífico (sí se puede sorber la diferencia en verdad). También, es posible reemplazar uno o todos los partes de la cafetera; no se cuesta mucho. Por eso, todo por todo, hay que comprar Bodum. Ojalá que hayan más productos como así en el mundo: sencillo para averiguar, barato, hecho para durar los años. Si no conozca con la cafetera "French Press", la 1L sea mejor para una reunión o algo como así (o si seas de Suecia o Dinamarca jaja): hace mucho café, FUERTE, no es como de filtro. Por supuesto, vivo solo y todavía hago medio litro (más o menos) cada día pero pueda hacer todo con amigos. Sí, tengo un problema de café... Así, recomiendo la 1L más que la ,33L (es pequeñito). ¡Disfrútela!

fyi it holds 4 cups (33 fluid ounces / 1 litre) of water the instructions it comes with accounts for "one cup of coffee" as 4 ounces. the perfect size i was looking for tbh either way i love this french press! it is gorgeous in person!
