Summary: In short, get them. Your kids will like them if they like guns. They're very cool. Yes, the plastic is not solid so if they break with a drop on a hard surface, maybe the manufacturer will help you out (if not, leave a one star review). More detail: I got this and another gun from this brand for my nine year old for Christmas. They sound, look, and feel great. I even enjoy playing with my sons with these (my 2.5 year old also loves them). I agree with another viewer that the plastic is not the strongest but they have survived so far. But if they suffer a drop on a solid surface, not sure what will happen. I don't know why China in general can't seem to produce quality products. I wish these were made in Japan. That said, I feel the price is too high for the build quality. However, the cool factor is there and other toy gun brands were restricted in my area (ridiculous), so I got these and I'm satisfied so far. In short, get them. Your kids will like them if they like guns.

The boy seems to really like it, alot. Still in one piece too.

Do not recommend this product. I sent it back. It had a piece of the battery cover missing. It’s cheaply made and not worth the purchase.
