The ONLY features I miss;1) auto-wake to locked screen on lifting.2) Fingerprint scanner should always be on the front - never the back.3) Would be nice if predicted text was 1/2 way accurate.4) I shouldn't need a secret key to access my sandisk and phonecard - but I get it - SECURITY5) Now that I know it was worth it: Purchase with larger storage. Have gotten around this by purchasing 256GB Sandisk - YOU SEE APPLE? OFFER SOLUTIONS, NOT MORE EXPENSIVE PHONES.Positives? TOO MANY TO COUNT!Battery Life wonderful, Camera excellent, response-to-touch great, icons and general layout - easy to learn and adapt, so many actually useful features to discover even to this day and no more endless software updates (which Apple used to bombard me with - Prematurely causing my phone to reach the end of its usefulness in 12 months with 80%+ of its storage filled with 'other' software updates) etc etc.I got this unlocked Phone for £425 in Black Friday sales and put in a £10 a month Sim. This phone took me to East Africa and back - no problem as it set to cost me £240 in 2 years of use with 4GB data, Ulm Txts and Mins. Total cost £665.My iPhone cost me in total over two years £1536. That's ridiculous. I'll use the £800 odd quid saved on...Idon't know - a holiday to Barcelona or something - it doesn't matter, I'm rich now.Anyway, the bottom-line is you can't go wrong with a policy of cash buying a two year old top-of-the-range smartphone instead of being locked in an exploitative 24 month contract.Happy Purchasing :D

Pros:-Delivered 1 day early, props to the delivery people!-This phone is just a pleasure to look at and to hold, aesthetics 10/10, build quality 10/10, screen quality 10/10.-Great battery life even on WQHD resolution and high brightness, watching videos and listening to music.-Camera produces stunning photos effortlessly.-Bixby button remapped with BxActions to screenshot on press which is awesome.-Using nova launcher for full customisation of the UI and to hide bloatware apps and add gestures for different actions makes using the phone so smooth. (See my home screen and app drawer screenshots for an idea)-Paired with a spigen neo-hybrid case I'm 99% sure it would survive a number of drops because of the solid build.Cons:-Due to curved screen there are no reliable tempered glass screen protectors available, all 3 I've bought have unstuck within 2 days... will purchase a film protector to protect from scratches-Took a while to get used to the fingerprint reader position on this large phone but it's natural to use now.-Nothing else!

This is a brilliant, great looking phone. I had the Samsung S7 Edge before I got the new Samsung S8+. The phones are very simaler but the new S8+ is a lot quicker, feels better in the hand and the screen is clearer. Great new addition to the camera with the Snapchat filters added for free!!!. Bixby is a good are also. Still getting used to it but it seems to be a good tool to have.I was very unsure about buying the phone off a 3rd party seller on Amazon as I know people how have been ripped off before and had a nightmare getting there money back but I can honestly say I am glad I did take the risk. The communication was brilliant and the phone came within 2 days of purchase in pristine condition. VERY HAPPY.It also works great with the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier watch.The only thing that was putting me off the new Samsung S8 and S8+ was the fingerprint scanner being at side of the camera on the back but it is really easy to use and to be honest it's in the perfect place for ease of use.100% HAPPY with everything

Really great phone - first things though. do buy a screen protector for front and back, they are available for curved screens, the one I found is case friendly too. In that last regard do put a case on this phone, ok, if you want to wave the phone around and show it to everyone (and risk getting it pinched) this may offend someone's sense of style but the phone will not look good for very long without one - the glass is strong but will crack and scratch before long and screen replacements can be ruinously expensive. It takes time to set the phone up but be patient, it is worth it. Some of the menus can be confusing but there is masses of online help. Battery life for me, used modestly and switched off at night, is brilliant. Turn off fast charging as this can reduce the overall life of the battery, it charges quickly anyway. This is so much better and now the price has dropped because the S9 has come out, more affordable.

Love this phone. After moving away from Samsung to LG I somewhat reluctantly decided to move back to Samsung after my LG died and I saw this deal on Amazon.The look, feel and performance of this phone are brilliant. It is really fast and responsive.Love the fingerprint recognition function and the fact that the phone is highly customizable thanks to Android.I received the phone on time but the reason I only give it 4 stars was that when I started the phone to begin the initial setup the first screen gave me 2 options to select, both of which were in what looked to be German. I randomly selected one of them which caused the phone to do a factory reset but once reset the instructions were then in English.Apart from the minor setup issue the phone is great.
