Q: can you locate it's position on your computer

Hi Christine, I don't remember trying to locate its position using my computer because I don't think it works. This unit is a GPS recorder. As such it does NOT send out any signal. So it cannot be located in real time. But since it records its locations, you can download its location file after a trip and find out where it went. Hope this reply helps. :-)

Q: Does this unit work with a Mac and if so, are there any complications?

According to the official web site (http://global.mobileaction.com/product/product_i-gotU_USB.jsp, see System requirements) it does not. It specifies "◾PC with Windows 7, 2000, XP, Vista" and "PC with USB 1.1 or 2.0". A review of the GT-120 unit even mentions that the software is not available for Mac. Q: will it work in Europe, in Ukraine, in Carpathian? What I need to buy to make it work everywhere?

It works using GPS, which is all over the World. I have successfully used it on trips to Europe and the UK. As far as I know, it should work anywhere.

Q: does it work with windows8

I use win7 and my gotU 120 works just fine but I don't see why it shouldn't work with win8.
