Superb value for money
Isn't it nice to be pleasantly surprised by something? The receipt of this order was one such occasion for me.My expectations for this purchase were I guess middle of the road. I have tried numerous wax melts, having been disappointed with the majority of them for their paucity of scent. I already have an electric wax melter which cost four times as much as this one and so I was doubtful of the quality achieved for such a low price. And then, something incredible happened: I was wrong. Very, very wrong. I would say, at a paltry £6, this wax melt burner would give any of the more expensive options a run for their money. In the box you receive a little block of wax to be broken into three separate melts in the manner of a kitkat. The fragrance is intense and fresh, easily ridding my kitchen of overnight Pug odour. I've used the same melt a couple of days in a row (all day) and the scent has not diminished as yet, so I'm impressed with its longevity. The burner itself is in two parts and you simply plug in the base section, pop the ceramic dish containing melt on top and switch on via a button on the base. Very easy and it looks far more expensive than its lowly price tag. The quality is actually better than my original burner, however that one does light up as an additional function. The reviews for my existing burner and various other wax melts are available to view under my user name - although a quick health warning: once you start buying them they do become highly addictive. 'Oooh, I'll just try this one...' etc. etc.In summary, this little set is superb value for money and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.***I try to be as candid as possible in my reviews, which I'm sure you will gather. Excellent heater for Essential Oils - better than an Aroma Stone. Safer than a tealight. Economical to use.
I bought one of these after stupidly dropping and breaking my aroma stone, and didn't want to pay out twenty quid for another. This wax melter comprises two parts: a heatproof plastic base with an integral heating element and a useful on/off switch, over which sits a detachable ceramic saucer. The unit is approximately 2.5" height, and 4.5" diameter. The flex is a good long one, around 1.5 metres, no jack plug to attach, and the socket plug is a straight plug, not a transformer type.It uses more energy (11w) to heat than the aroma stone (7w), but it's still cheap to run, less than a lightbulb. The base and saucer gets very warm, but not very hot, heat is concentrated through the base of the saucer. It's a very effective, safe product. There are three little nubs which hold the underside off the surface of whatever the unit is standing on, but there is a central metal nut underneath which although it's recessed, does get hot, so your surface will have to be a hard surface, and flat.I don't use this as a wax melter (I don't really like commercially produced synthetic fragrance or petroleum based products), I prefer to use natural essential oils. This unit works perfectly well for EOs, and it gets hot enough to dissipate the essential oil fragrances without burning them. It's actually better than an Aroma Stone, because you can turn it on or off at the unit and the heating unit is more effective. You can add a little water for gummy resins or more viscous oils such as myrrh and this unit works well for these, too.I've had this one on the go, all day, every day since I bought it several weeks ago, and it's been fine, no problems at all. In fact I've just come on here to buy another one while they're still at this price. I'll ditch the wax that comes with it though, sorry Air Wick!

Perfect way to keep your house smelling fresh
Amazing wax melter! As a student who lived in halls first year this product was a lifesaver! It kept my room smelling fresh whilst keeping to my halls regulations of no candles/incense etc. Got many friends buying these and will continue to recommend it. Can leave it on for hours before it gets quite warm (the base I mean) and I do recommend putting a place mat/coaster underneath it whilst in use to protect your surfaces. This melter also works with other wax melts from different brands including Yankee candle, but will say that the scents made by airwick (particularly summer delights) are lovely and I have enjoyed using them over the time i've had the melter.A quick tip to remove the wax from the melter when finished with is to put the removable melting cup into the freezer for 10-15 minutes; then it will pop out with a little bit of pressure. You can also do this when you want to change scents for a little bit as the disc of wax pop out whole and can easily be swapped in and out.

Air Wick Air Freshener, Life Scents Wax Melt, Turquoise Oasis
Nice-sized unit & good quality, being Air Wick. The warmer itself came with two 'Turquoise Oasis' wax strips &, using one at a time, lasted about a week, after being on for about 4-5 hours per day, so pretty much what I expected. The scent fades gradually with use, although the wax itself keeps its colour.I've experimented with other wax melts & find that Yankee Candle Scenterpiece also work well but may take a little longer to melt, especially when using with the plastic container still attached.I haven't tried but I should think you can remove the plastic container from the Scenterpiece & it may melt more quickly but this unit is simply a warmer, so most wax melts should work, just bear in mind the size of the bowl so the wax doesn't overflow.Good value @ price paid of £10.00 for the unit & two melts.
