Great for kids!
Great value and easy to use for my son. Some tools weren't as great, but it's just right for kids. The functionality for kids is great, and the design is quite nice

Meh
Ok, but little better than ‘toy’ items. Very little actual useable items even on cheap naff wood. Bit disappointing even for a 6 year old who wanted his own tool set, what he got was a nice looking wooden box wit some toy tools that in rare circumstances could be useful.

Great Tool Set for older child!
I read the reviews before I purchased it and was concerned as many said it was no good as a working tool set and no way for a child as old as 8.I totally disagree, my son will love this! I could use the hammer and the screw drivers and many of the other items. It even comes with sandpaper! The pliers don't seem very strong but that's the only thing.I agree that the plane and chisel are blunt but it is difficult to decide whether these should be sharp, after all you can't assume all 8 year olds are responsible enough to have sharp tools. Others have said they can be sharpened so problem solved. The only downside if I had to be picky, is the flimsy wood fittings inside the tool box to keep the tools in place. Other than that, the box itself is sturdy and clips shut.

A great set of tools for children
I bought this set for my nephew for his birthday. It'd been on his wish list for a while and he was chuffed to bits to get it. He's been playing with it for a month or so now and he's still just as pleased. It's a solid kit with decent tools (if junior ones) in a good case. There is everything the junior handyman/demolition expert would need from hammers, saws, screwdrivers, spanners and a plane. It should be noted that these are real tools, not plastic, and are therefore sharp and potentially dangerous. My nephew is now constantly demanding extra bits of wood to shape/make/abuse so bear that in mind before you purchase as small creative minds empowered by this kit will need something to use it on other than your tables and chairs. Very highly recommended.

Poor quality, poor value for money. AVOID
My son was overjoyed with this but I was a little disappointed tbh.The quality is very poor, the saw would struggle through bread and the chisel and plane have flat ends of approx 1mm so wouldn’t cut anything. I’ll sharpen these and see how they perform but I don’t hold much hope. The box looks nice but again, poor quality and all very loose, about to fall apart.I had a similar set when I was younger and it was great, this however is a cheap equivalent. For the money, I would advise buying individual tools and making a small toolbox as your first project.Happy son on his birthday but disappointed father with quality.
