A must-have product for your car
This is a great piece of kit to have in the boot of your car....... We use the air compressor about once a week to increase the tyre pressure on our car tyres. With a lot of pot holes around, the tyre pressure seems to deflate quite regular and the warning light in our car alerts us to this. The air compressor is really easy to use:- Plug into the car's socket (cigarette lighter)- Turn the dial to preset the desired tyre pressure- Press startThe air compressor reaches the required tyre pressure in little to no time and the machine automatically stops when the desire pressure is reached. The product also has some extra little features which are convenient....- An LED light and backlit digital display which is convenient for night time use- SOS setting to warn other drivers should you happen to be stranded on the side of the road with a flat tyre- A very handy little zipped case to store the product inI am very impressed with this product and feel that it is very durable and great value for money. I can see us using this product happily for many years to come.

Great little piece of Kit
I bought this three years ago and it works like a dream for such a small piece of kit. I just do not understand the negative reviews. The screw-fit to the tyre valve makes sure you have a tight seal, unlike my THREE previous tyre inflators which hissed air like Priti Patel. You DO NOT lose lots of air. You lose no more than you would in a garage forecourt - which is not a lot. I have never had a problem with the cigarette lighter connection to my Lexus so only imagine A) other cars have shity cigarette lighter connections B) the 'reviews' are fake. This little machine has kept my tyres inflated all through Covid-19 and is still working. It has generous amounts of wire and hose and I have never had a problem connecting, inflating and driving away. It is not noisy compared to some and works in the rain! I was initially worried about this but it has powered through many a downpour. If any of my neighbours have flats they come to me now!! (Maybe I should charge them!). I did not expect it to be so robust but it is. Along with my solar-powered battery top-up device, this keeps me worry-free and on the road. I highly recommend it.

Pleased I bought it. Buy with your eyes open, but still recommended.
Disclaimer: I generally don't know what I'm doing. Honestly, I really don't. If you are in the same situation, hopefully this helps you and sets your mind at ease.Overall: If you have read other reviews, there are some flaws to the design. The screwing and unscrewing is prone to allowing some air to escape. Overall though? Its a very handy, useful addition to have in the car for that really rubbish moment. Buy it, try it, and leave it in the car for when you need it.Packaging and Postage: Standard Prime. So a robust box, delivered the next day and with the compressor packed safely inside.First Impressions: Good! Its well presented in a nice fabric tote bag/case. It doesn't look too complicated and is exactly as presented on Amazon. Only negative is that the instructions are picture only. Unless you look at it the other way, and that is that it's so easy to use - pictures can detail the process.Design: This is one of the major sticking points of many of the reviews here. The screw on/off of the valve means that at a point, there is air escaping. I would suggest that if you are *that* worried, increase it by 0.5psi. Honestly, the amount of air that will escape whilst unscrewing it will be minimal. The design isn't *that* bad!Other than that, decent clear controls. The torch is brilliant especially since I've just used it in the dark. The cable is nice and long and also the cable management (ie how to store it!) is decent. Both the power cable, which stores at the back, and the air hose store easily enough. The photos are after I used it.Use: Plug it into the 12v socket. Screw onto wheel. Change the required PSI by twiddling the knob. Press the power button. Watch the pressure rise. It really is easy. I have to admit, I didn't let it auto shut off, so I'm not sure whether that will be detrimental - I was watching it and I didn't want to wait.Longevity: I can't answer this yet, but I will keep a close eye on it since so many have raised concerns. At the moment, yes - it isn't the highest quality brushed aluminium switches. It isn't a hard wearing robust sturdy compressor. But it is one of the cheapest. And it is perfect for leaving in the car for the odd time you need it.

Awful, Cheap, Plastic Rubbish
Save yourself the hassle, it's just not worth it.As soon as you open the thing you regret it as it looks and feels like a children's toy rather than reliable bit of kit. It manages to looks even worse than it does in the pictures. I returned it within about 10 minutes of opening and using, or at least trying to use. With it hooked up, switched on and making a horrendous noise, nothing really seemed to be happening. The display constantly read the same pressure for a few minutes before I gave up packed it away. I guess others seem to have had success with this thing due to the 4-odd star average reviews but I certainly did not. If it'd been priced at sub £15 I would be more forgiving but for £30 it needs to be a damn sight better quality. Also the noise this thing makes is ridiculous. Obviously you expect a bit of noise but after purchasing the "AstroAI Air Compressor Portable Pump, 150 PSI 12V Electric Digital Tyre Inflator" I can confirm that the noise on this was excessive. As mentioned, do yourself a favour and get the AstroAI Air Compressor Portable Pump, 150 PSI 12V Electric Digital Tyre Inflator. Amazon seem to be burying that one in their search results at the moment but it's been an absolute joy to use by comparison. It feels solid, got all the tyres up to pressure in the same time it took me to faff about with just trying to do one with the RING RAC635. Also at the moment it's virtually the same price as the RING (though appears to be normally about £15 more), so snap one up quick! Also pair with the RACE X RX0014 Tyre Pressure Gauge and you won't go far wrong.
