Found the 1.6mm wire idea for mending wire mesh fencing. Found it easy to work by hand and cut with standard pliers, which was great. The wire as delivered is quite shiny but seems to dull/tarnish (but *not* rust, it just goes a dull grey colour) after a few days exposure to the Scottish weather. That's ideal as it blends in with there original fencing wire.

what's required for work in garden to help with gabions to wire up - as will be cutting baskets down and making use of wire to secure sides up and seal baskets in case I'm short of pig tails that are supplied. - Just a bit extra in case - always handy to have around the shop. Good amount for the money.
