Ideal for draughty windows
If you have draughty windows and can't afford double glazing then this is the next best thing! It's cheap, easy to apply and very effective. I have old wooden framed bay windows with inefficient double glazed sealed units. When I opened the curtains in the morning I could feel the cold air rushing towards me and throughout the day there was always a cold area on that side of the room. I'd never heard of this 'secondary glazing' until I searched the internet for draught excluders! It took 5 minutes to read the instructions and about an hour to do a large bay window (of course if I had to do it again it would take only half that time). Although it's not as effective as good quality double glazing, you can't open the windows without removing it and there is a slight hue when you look through the window, it is certainly a vast improvement and I'm confident that my heating is working more efficiently as that cold area is now much warmer. For the depths of winter when you don't need to have your windows open I'd highly recommend it!

Useful for what it is
This is a simple system of double sided tape and cellophane that you attach as smoothly as possible to the tape around the window. How well it works is dependant on how well you put it up. Using a hair dryer does make it relatively smooth, but not all wrinkles go. A good temporary solution to the problem of draughty windows. Won't last in the long run, but has helped this winter.

Incredibly product
Nothing to say except for, incredible product.Does exactly what it says on the tin. Slightly small for enormous sash windows (bigger than five foot wide or tall), but we made do and the product was great. I have just finished fitting it over two windows and felt the need to stop to give it a review. It is easy to fix and when finished is very hard to tell it is even there, I added a few steps for those that are having issues with tape etc.1. Cut tape to size for each of the four window edges.2. Make sure that the tape will sit flush with each other in the corner but DO NOT overlap. If they overlap the tape will not stick to the white protective topping (this is what it is made for) and you will have a large issue.3. Leave for 10 minutes with white top still on, so that it can stick to the window frame.4. Whilst you are waiting cut the glazing to size, leaving at least 2cm's overhang on each side.5. When you are ready (get help from another person if you can for big windows) take off the white topping and stick the glazing to the top horizontal of the window.6. When this is secure, slowly make your way down each vertical, finishing with the bottom horizontal. Run your thumb over the tape multiple times to make sure it is all stuck down, do not worry if there are creases.7. Leave this for 10 minutes and make a cup of tea.8. Take a hair driver and holding it 5cm's away from the glazing start at one of the corners and work up and down slowly. You should see the film tightening in front of you, removing creases.9. When the whole window has been tightened, get a torch and shine it on the film, this will show you areas that are still a little creased and need some more heat.10. Enjoy your new double glazing!

Tricky to use
I bought this to help with draughty windows however couldn't fully use it partially because of my windows and partially because of how fiddly it was to install - in the end I gave up.The tape provided didnt seem all that sticky at first but I couldn't get it off in the end ! (Still some stuck on now !!)I didn't get to the fun part of using the hairdryer - I'd already given up lol.Might be useful for those who have the patience to use it

Can really see/ feel the difference with this film
I was a little unsure as to how effective this film would be with regard to being an effective form of glazing, however I am really surprised with the results.I used the film over 2 bathroom windows and our living room and have already noticed reduced condensation and that heat is being retained better.Providing the sticky sided tape is stuck on properly (with the help of rubbing alcohol and a hair dryer), the film sticks with ease and any creases/ wrinklesimmediately disappear when heated. The only draw back I’ve had is that our kitten has taken a shine to the living room window and demolished the film after a week.I will definitely recommend this product if you are looking for a means of retaining heat and Cannot afford new windows

Tape is useless, it splits easily or gets twisted.
The tape provided is awful, it splits while placing on the window frame plus the cellophane comes away from it while using the hairdryer on a cool setting.

COSY WINTER
I put this on my double glazed windows three months ago and I am very, very pleased with the result. It was easy to use and I quickly achieved a good look. There has been a big improvement in the chill factor. Our front hall has a half glazed door which has made this area like a fridge. Now it is a reasonable temperature. I would encourage anyone thinking about this product to give it a go. I am looking forward to my fuel bill this year as I know it will be significantly less.It is now May and I have just received a cheque from EON for £468 overpayment!! I have never ever had a refund before so I am very pleased. I know we had a milder winter but I do think this product should take 70% credit for this result.
