Right window; right case.
I wanted to build a new system to see the components inside. I wanted liquid cooling and because of the position where I keep my case I needed the window on the right. I wanted to fit some SSDs and a couple of hard drives, a DVD or Blu-ray player (old school, sorry!). I wanted to fit a MSI 980ti graphics card which is a long card and a liquid cooler. I also wanted a fairly large case. The 600c fitted the bill. The case has the usual connections on top and has a three speed fan controller too. The two 5.25 drive bays at the top are accessed through a quirky pivot door. It also had the usual front panel to motherboard connectors and connectors for the three fans installed on the case that allows their speed to be changed. It also has magnetically attached dust filters which are very effective. The left side of the case has plenty of room behind it to hide cables and there are plenty of grommets and access holes to allow neat cabling. It also has three SSD holders here which the drives just push in and lock with a retaining clip. It is very effective. The case allows a clean build and encouraged me to add red and black GPU power cables and the 24 pin motherboard power cable. It looks quite well. As the motherboard is upside down it meant the power cables for the motherboard are very tight, the PSU is at the top of the case and the graphics card logo is upside down. However, the case is quiet and keeps the components cool. I fitted a Corsair 100i with the 240mm radiator fitted in the bottom of the case although I could have fitted it at the front as well. With the liquid cooling the CPU does not exceed 50C even during long gaming sessions. The motherboard does not exceed 25C. This is a quality case which is big enough to allow an easy build. It looks good and is quiet. If you want a window on the right, this is the right choice.

Carbide 400C
A beautiful case that I would recommend to anyone, whether you have or haven't built a PC before. It was, in fact, my first time building a gaming rig and it is very intuitive with an SSD rack (though I couldn't use this unfortunately due to my fan control unit) and has a very fancy rubber flap into the back of the case which is brilliant for hiding all the untidy bits and allows for easy access to fans and the main components of the system with cables. It is quite heavy but com,es kitted with a shelter for your hard drives and a wired front IO (panel of buttons at the front) which works a treat (though when sleeping, the power button does like to flash brightly, all the time; but you can unplug the pin connector if you would like.) The build quality is solid and it has a lovely view into the PC which is great if you have some lovely corsair RGB fans because you want a private light show, and the acrylic is fairly clear but can get quite dirty. this is easy to clean as the hinges at the back are simply open fully then lift. getting inside the case from the covered side and removing the front panel are my only concerns as it is quits the job trying to put the side back on to the frame and squeezing all the wires back inside without damaging anything and then putting the thumb screws in without it popping off; highly recommend a two man job, one to push it in, the other to pout the screws in the aligned holes. this can be done by yourself with practise. The front requires small fingers to reach up into the corners of the machine to push in 6 clips holding the panel on on which can be a challenge and requires the side panel (as mentioned above) to be off. The shelter at the bottom is great to hide all hard drive stuff, but just remember the order and where you removed the thumb screws from as the shelter will slide in by the power supply first, then on the hard drives. The power supply, front panel and grill at the top all have dedicated filters for the 5 fan spaces one of which is a 140mm (the case comes with a standard 120mm and 140mm). The filters are very effective at stopping the dust and are easy to remove and replace. I recommend taking air from the front and outputting from the top though and therefore stash away the top filter to get the best temperature results. The top filter can be kept on for this but it will just get dirty and prohibit some airflow at the top outtake (it can also be damaged quite easily as it is a relatively soft plastic so unfortunately mine dented quite quickly). Overall, a very solid and modest mid-tower case. not massively flashy and big enough to hold some of the bigger cards like the mighty Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 graphics card; which is obviously a very good thing for expand ability with just enough room to take 3 separate cards. Very highly rated from me. I hope you found this review helpful!

Great case for a great price!
Awesome case! Just the perfect size for my needs. Good airflow which supports up to 6 fans to keep your system cool though you only get 2 with the case, Easy to install my items in it with nice rubber cable holes and looks dammm good. Nice design with the filters in front and top to keep ur system clean. The legs rise a decent amount up from the ground/desk which I like. Room for radiotors in front and top. It is a really good case but it has it faults which I will sum up here. Cable Management can be abit tricky in it, could do with more room in the back and have more cable tie points. The PSU shroud would been better in 1 piece imo and is kinda fidly. Door handle could have been better also.

Excellent choice for a dual gpu build, superb case overall
I moved my mATX build into this as I needed more airflow for a second GPU. As with most of corsair's new hardware, this looks the business and has tons of room, great airflow & intuitive features to make building easier. The stock fans were noisy as expected, so I replaced these with some noctua f-12 which are close to silent and far more effective. I'm really not about pc cases with that loud, gawdy 'gamer' aesthetic, so the matt black / no nonsense styling of this is really appreciated and fits in well with the rest of my build and peripherals. The only fault I found was that the PSU & HDD tray cover at the bottom was slightly awkward to remove. Other than that it's a great case i'd recommend to anyone looking to build at this size.

Definitely worth looking into.
Fantastic upgrade from an old Coolermaster case I was using, plenty of space inside even though it looks small, the cable management although tight, can get the job done, the transparent side panel with a handle to open up is an absolute god send, I love it, It not only allows me to admire my creation inside, but to also see if there is any physical problems with my rig, and Cooling temps are much better with solid airflow and dust filters.

The case is good, the fans provided are absolute garbage
The case is good: well built, well thought, good looking, not too heavy, great cable management. The provided fans are a worthless piece of crap, noisy and rumbling even at low speeds.

FALSE ADVERTISING BY CORSAIR
[Edit] TAKE NOTE GAMERS: CORSAIR ARE NOW MANUFACTURING THE 400C USING THE 460X's CHASSIS, WHICH HAS A DIFFERENT RAIL SETUP FOR RADIATORS AND FANS AT THE FRONT. YOU WILL NOT BE RECIEVING A 400C. YOU WILL BE RECIEVING A 460X WITH A HINGED GLASS DOOR AND SOLID FRONT PANEL. THIS. IS. FALSE. ADVERTISING. I BOUGHT THIS CASE FOR THE SIZE AND FRONT SETUP FOR MY H100i V1, AND NOW IT DOESN'T FIT DUE TO THE 460X's DESIGN. Arguably the best in class for a Mid-Tower and very, very well priced for what you get. Coming from a 650D that I decided was just too big and heavy now, this was a surprising downgrade in size but fits my IKEA desk perfectly. Plus the whole side panel being glass is brilliant as you get a great view inside, so perfect for you RGB lighting kids...sorry, lovers. I would say there have been some quality compromises to keep the pricing down. The shielding at the bottom of the case conceals the PSU and HD bay area very, very well. When everything is installed, it makes the inside look EXTREMELY neat and tidy. For anyone who loves a clean, high-airflow and "aesthetic" look to their cases, this is a sheer winner. Hard to beat. Arguably the best. Also love the magnetic dust filter covers. Easy to put on, easy to clean, looks great, doesn't disturb airflow etc. Brilliant idea. The 650D's mesh filters are a nightmare to clean and just look dusty all the time. BUT, these covers are plastic. SOMEWHAT flimsy and cheap and tacky feeling while looking high quality. Great when in place but when I removed them for the first time I went "wow, this is cheap Corsair". Glass door sits on two hinges and clatters closed rather than clicks closed. Front panel/cover is plasticy but looks great, and comes off relatively easily. I'd break fingers trying to get the front off my 650D so this is a welcome change. Also, I think the SSD placement is going to be great for some and a nightmare for others. At the back of the case are pre-installed slots for SSDs. You slide them in and they "click" in to place, with a spring at the bottom. Pull the single lever to the side and they "spring" out. This...doesn't always work, and it can be more fiddly than it needs to be just to get the SSDs in place. Also, they have to be installed with the connectors facing upward...why!? That's just less cable to work with with plugging them in as you have to stretch the cables higher. I'm torn about it, but it's more of a design issue for me. And it's not the only one: My biggest issue with this case is...its' size, frankly. YES it's a mid tower. Yes it's smaller. I have a Z77 Sabertooth and an H100i, the older version. I am forced to put the radiator on the front instead of the top, because there simply isn't enough head room. The Z77 sits too close to the top of the case, and the bottom of the board JUST fits when I slide the PSU cover in to place. We're talking milimeters. While aesthetically pleasing...it's more a nuisance. I'm also pulling hot air IN to the case, directly to the GPU. So the need for two exhaust fans at the top of the case is now mandatory. And because I have to put the H100i against the front panel, which is fine and actually how Corsair market it, I'd love for someone from Corsair to explain to me why then...that the screw holes DON'T LINE UP properly!?!? No matter the alignment, the radiator can ONLY be screwed in at 4 of the 8 possible holes. Two on each end, and four in the middle, right? Right now, my radiator is secured in place via two screws at the bottom end, and two of the middle ones. The top of the radiator's screws are just...hanging in the air. The pre-drilled/assigned holes are too high up for it. Yet the specs of the case say it can fit. See the pic I attached. The reason this doesn't fit, is because of the front panel cables. They sit right at the top, yet if I put the H100i in place, it pushes against the cables at the top. So doesn't rise high enough to reach the top screw holes on the front panel...yet when I look at 400C front panel pictures, it doesn't match what is in my case. So I don't know what the issue is. So I can't orientate the H100i the proper way. If I orientate it the other way...then the coolant tubes sit where the graphics card goes, so you can't install a card. There are two options - install with missing screws, or install securely...and have the Corsair logo on the CPU cooler upside down so that the tubes align properly. What a STUPID design. Yes, I guess it does "fit"...just doesn't screw in using all the screws needed! Also, I have two SSDs, an HDD and my H100i. All require the 6-pin Sata power cable splitter. So I plug in the SSDs...and now can JUST, JUST reach the connector for the H100i. But now I need another cable, because there is NO WAY I can reach the HDD in the bottom left (when looking at the back) without another cable. Now I'm just adding more cables to the difficulty of cable management. Because this is the first case I have genuinely, to the point of walking away in anger, had issues with cable management. I had to take the whole thing apart and start again. And if you want to add a cable? That means taking the back panel off, unscrewing the PSU and HDD cover, removing those, changing what needs to be changed, then securing everything again. The back panel has to be screwed in to place too. And bulges due to the lack of space. I get it. It's a mid-tower. But even with "screw it, that'll do" mentality, I could slide the 650D's back closed without force. With this case, you seemingly need a PHD in cable management. It's all setup great for it with cable tie slots and gromets/holes for cables, but even if you JUST plug in your motherboard, the cable alone is enough to make closing the back off a challenge. THAT'S how little space there is. Throw in standard SATA cable lengths and you have a mess of cables too long in a case too tight and "small". It's not impossible, just unnecessarily frustrating. I had to unplug everything and start completely from scratch with the PSU. You need to take your time and do one cable at a time. You can't just plug everything in and then go "right, cable management time". You need to plan ahead and use the bigger cables to pin down the smaller ones. Start with the SSDs and HDDs and SATA cables first, finish with the mobo and CPU power cables and GPU. Screws don't come with washers either, so expect some paint to be removed when screwing the fans in. If you install the radiator at the front, ENSURE YOU HAVE AT LEAST 2 OTHER FANS FOR THE TOP OF THE CASE. Or like me, I had to install the vent fan I used in my 650D as my 400C's vent fan, and use the fan that came with the 400C as the top fan. I need to get some new fans basically. One could say it's my fault for not planning ahead but...anyway. Oh and the top USB 3.0 ports don't work. Not sure if it's my mobo having them turned off or what, but the USB 3.0 cable is plugged in to my mobo and just...nothing. Don't know why, haven't really looked in to it. I'm going to rebuild over Xmas when I get my fans and extra SATA power cable/splitter so I can connect my HDD again. It's quieter overall than I expected, it's cheap here and there, it's a brilliant size, I think it looks fantastic as a case, it's got some brilliant touches...just a shame it's got some "what were they thinking?" design choices and arguably some quality control issues too.

Stunning and beautiful case with a few minor flaws but still a great buy!
First of all I'm giving it a 5 star because this case fits my needs, there are a few things to keep in mind here and I'll list them in to cons. Let's start by listing the cons shall we. Cons: - The biggest con in my personal opinion is the space behind the motherboard for cable management its a bit crammed but you can totally make it work since the back panel is easy to put back on. You need to make sure that the wires are flat or almost flat so you can close the case, there's gonna be a very little bump but it won't be noticeable. - Another con is that the windowed side panel attracts dirt so it needs a constant cleaning! but this is only a minor flaw - Another con that people might say is that the shroud that covers the PSU and the two hard drive cage is a bit flimsy and too short if you move the hard drive cage forward to fit a long PSU. But personally this worked out for me since I like seeing my hard rive cage I had no problem removing one of the shrouds and keeping the other one! - Final con but its not a big deal if you move the hard drive cage forward is that for longer PSU's you might need to cram all the wires in a very tight space specially if you have EVGA G2 wires that are stiff like me. - A very very slight annoyance for some maybe is the front panel, you have to open both side panels if you want to remove front panel and clean the dust filter up front. Not really a big issue here since both side panels are easy to put back on. Now enough of that time for the pros! Pros! - Dust proofing! There are three dust filters one upfront, one uptop and and one for the psu! As mention before the front dust filet might be a little hard to get but just spray with air and it'll be fine! - Side Panel is beautiful! (as long as you clean in, picture provided I neglected to clean it for a day or two for the picture) - Shroud has two parts and removable for more flexibility, for my personal preference I've removed the front part of the shroud since I like to see my hard drive cage. - Fits hyper 212 evo, fits an aftermarket CPU cooler, note that corsair says max length for a cpu cooler is 170mm so make sure it can fit there! :) - A LOT of space inside for fans and radiators! it can fit 360mm, 280mm or 240mm radiator at the front keeping in mid the hard drive cage, 240mm or 120mm at the top again mind your wires I'd recommend just using fans for the top and finally 120mm radiator at the back! for people not using radiators you can fit three 120mm fans or two 140mm fans on the front, two 140mm or two 120mm at the top and one 120mm on the back. Overall I'm giving this case a 5 star because the cons are just minor annoyances but fully recommend it if you're looking for a mid tower with a windowed side panel that can easily be opened!
