A Writer's Reference: With Writing in the Disciplines Seventh Edition

I purchased this book for one of my English classes this year and it's been very useful for all of my classes when I have to write papers. I'm an English major, so I plan on keeping this book as a helpful resource. My roommate has even asked to borrow it on many occasions. It's a great tool if you're writing in MLA, APA, Chicago style, and has many useful reference and writing tools. Though a little expensive, it is well worth the cost as it is used over and over again.

The Writer's Reference essentially does what it says it will do. It is a good reference to use. It was required for my English class, and was also used by the university's writing center. I mostly used it for reference on grammar, writing styles, and how to cite certain things. Yes, the internet can help you to some extent, but this book helps with very specific case and is a must buy for anyone getting started into writing and can prove useful to even seasoned authors.

This is a great reference book with detailed explanations and examples. It's tabbed to help you find things easily and each section is coded. Our professor would write the code next to the corresponding error in our papers so we could figure out what was wrong. Overall it is a great reference book.

It was extremely cheap and it was in good condition. the shipping date was not kept it showed up late but other than that i have no complaint.

I hate English and writing. The information was so correct and helped me get on the road that ck to writing and organizing with the MLA section on target when I used the Book I recieved a B on my papers. This was my first semester in years.Buy this book if you want to keep the rules of Cite. Good Luck and keep this open when you write.

I found the reference guide near impossible to navigate using my Kindle Fire HD. It was hard (for me) to read, had no "jump to" links to reference material. I bought the book for a class I am attending and need the guide to write multiple essays and assignments. I could not easily look up APA formatting, title pages, reference styles or other necessary information.I will buy the print book instead. The tabs will make it easier to navigate through the materials I need for class.If you're like me; a bit older; and you like the text resize option on your Kindle, you'll probably feel the same as I did about this purchase.

Had an earlier edition the first time I was in college. Picked this one up used when I went back. Can't beat "the Hacker Manual" for guidance in your academic writing -- regardless of which style your professor requires.

I had to buy this book for college, and although I wouldn't of bought it if I didn't have to, it has a lot of useful information you need to know for English class.
