I have tried so many hold gels (TIGI, VO5, L'Oreal, American Crew, Toni & Guy) and NONE of them come close to this wax!To give some context, I have thick straight hair, due to this whenever I use a gel or wax it never keeps it 'locked in' or if it does it just falls a little later. With Mon Platin they have created a very durable and STRONG product.Hold: This wax has the second strongest hold out of any product I have used (first is Brylcream - which is outdated). Yes, it will take at least 1-2 minutes for it to lock together, but once it does the hold is fantastic. You can use the product as a stand-alone gel or you can top it off lightly with hairspray.Smell: It has a really nice smell and you will find people will give you compliments about it.Washing: Due to it being quite a thick wax, it can take some time getting it rinsed out. One way of speeding it up is loosening it up with hot water and it comes off easily.Finish: You get a nice glossy finish to your hair depending on how much you use with it.Price: This is the BEST wax on the market, and for the price of £13-£14 it is brilliant. It also lasts for a long time, one tub lasted me close to 8 months.

I've been using Hair Gels for the better part of my life and the problem with them is that you must always shampoo to get it out. It's a very bad idea leaving gel in your hair overnight while you sleep, as it won't allow the pores on your scalp to remain open to regenerate the oils that keep your hair growing. So if you're using gel, you should most definitely shampoo it out. This means that you'll have to shampoo on a daily basis and I'm sure that can't be good for your hair.For me, the main selling point of this wax was the fact that it stated 'Rinse off completely with water after use.' I've been using it for a few weeks now and I wish I'd known about it before! I only need to use just a small dab of this wax rubbed into my palms and then I spread it into my wet hair (I always wet my hair first - it makes it much easier to style it) ready to comb to my style. It styles effortlessly and (unlike Gel) doesn't make your hair hard and crunchy. I shower my hair with warm water in the evening and it seems to wash out without much effort. This means I don't have to keep shampooing every day, just 2 or 3 times a week and once with a clarifying shampoo. My hair should be much healthier for it.A great product that does what it says on the tin, washes out without much effort (and without the need for other chemicals) and will probably last a long time.

8 years ago my barber introduced me to Mon Platin... 8 years later I'm still using it (however, I now purchase my tubs here as opposed to from him simply because Amazon is cheaper!)A fantastic hold, with a wax/gel hybrid texture, that's very easy to wash out and super simple to use. It even smells great! Every time a friend borrows some to use for himself, he has ended up purchasing a tub for himself. It's as simple as that.Jojoba Crystal wax is brilliant for short/medium length styles and I don't imagine myself every changing products. Used by specialist barbers for a reason, trusted by everyone who has tried it.

Wax is a compound that, among other things, is insoluble in water; this product is falsely advertised as wax, whereas in fact is just hair gel. As soon as the hair gets a little bit wet for whatever reason this gel becomes liquid goo that just doesn't do anything.

This is my favorite hair product. I like the fragrance and it holds my hair in place all day. Washes out easily as it’s water based.

It provides strong hold but still flexible.It’s clear and works on long and short hair.Only a small amount is needed, so I guess it will last for a very long time.

Really nice. Smells like old school barbers. I first found this product in my local barbers and have ever since fell in love. It's strong enough to hold your hair with a nice shine but light enough to not weigh it down. Apply to dry hair for a softer hold. With damp hair it does dry a little like gel which I dislike. Washes out super easy too. Bit pricey though

This is the only Wax we buy. I have 4 boys and a hubby who use this. We have been to the same hairdressers since they were born, and they only use this product. So me being the bargain hunter that i am, found it on Amazon, and the cheapest around might i add. So we purchase this regularly. It doesnt leave residue in the hair, it holds hair in place all day, i tend to use it let it set slightly, and hairdry it a touch. It is brilliant, and by far the best wax around! You get tons too! I stock up when its on offer due to the amount we go through! Delivery was incredibly fast too. Highly Recommend!
