Brainstorm Toys E2004 My Very Own Rainbow Projector Nightlight, No, 250 x 175 x 120mm

Fabulous item, truly thrilled with it. My 3 nearly 4 year old and my 18 month old love it, it was fine on battery power but it goes off after 10 minutes, so I bought the power lead to go with it (took me a while to know I was picking the right one but got it delivered next day with Prime), the instruction leaflet tells you the spec of the lead you need to buy. With the power lead the rainbow stays on until you turn it off which is great, we have it positioned to shine a smallish rainbow on the wall above my son's bed (well it's still a fair size) we have the end lined up with the star shaped light on the wall (again to my 3 year olds request). It also adequately shines across the whole room giving off a nice rainbow light. I was sceptical about how good these would be and which one to order, but I can honestly say this was a really good purchase and I'm glad I went for this one

Wasn’t sure what to expect but for the price, this is great. Yes, you need a dark room. We have blackouts so it works very well. Wouldn’t work as well without them. It stays on for about 49 mins and it really helped my son to learn to sleep without needing me to go to sleep with him. For the price it’s great value for us.

A really simple idea well executed. I was pleasantly impressed by the effect this created in a dark room. We have a 'perfect fit' blackout blinds in our childs room which may be why the contrast between the rainbow effect and the walls seems to look so much better in our photo than the other reviews - it shows that having a dark room is really key to getting this to look good. Boiled down to the basics this is a series of a few static colour led's closely installed on an arch, with a rounded mirror panel below it, at the perfect angle to spread the reflection of the LED's across a wall in am arcing rainbow pattern. The purists amongst us (my children included) will point out that not all the colours of the rainbow are present, but if you can forgive this sin then the actual display can look quite impressive. I bought this on a daily deal for <£9 and at this price I'm very impressed at the value for money.

I bought this for my 3 year old granddaughter for Christmas. She did have other presents so it’s not like it ruined Christmas but it’s still awful to open a gift that doesn’t work. All it was was a few bits of cheap plastic and a plastic mirror. It had a very dim light inside which was meant to hit the mirror and create a rainbow. I actually had second thoughts about buying this wondering if it might cause a fire 🤣🤣 the light was so dim it hardly even reached the mirror. The important thing to know is it did not create a rainbow so I sent it back. I got my money back but that didn’t make up for how awful I felt after setting this up for my granddaughter. Amazon is asking me if this is suitable for the age I bought it for but I can’t answer that as it didn’t work so I’ve put no cz it’s not suitable for anybody no matter what age they are. I’d even go as far as to call this product a scam. Plz don’t buy it

This is so lightweight and of simple design I was expecting it to be of average quality, but it's actually really great - the rainbow shines bright on to the ceiling/walls. My 4 year old loves it.

Fun for the child however not educational as described

This is a really good item, I recently bought it for my daughter's 4th birthday and she loves it. She looks forward to going to bed now! The only reason I'm dropping a star is because I think it's overpriced - it's not that big and is very light (weight) so you don't really feel that you're getting twenty quid's worth (and batteries aren't included). But having a rainbow across the bedroom walls and ceiling is pretty cool.
