Gaiwan Teacup Kungfu Tea bowl Zisha Red Clay black 4oz/130ml Sancai Saucers

So I bought this one to replace my broken gaiwan and honestly this one is fantastic its thick enough to kind of mask the heat using it properly you won't get burned. The day I got it I dropped it accidentally and it held up its really durable. I went with the standard red clay look and it looks amazing. Holds temperature really well and it's very well crafted it fits really well in the hand and super easy to use.

The description of this gaiwan says 130ml, but the usable amount is only 90ml. Reading closer, it states 4oz, much smaller than 130ml. For the price, it is a nice piece. The lid fits well, and the inside glaze is even—very nice for a mass-produced piece.

This is a nice small gaiwan. It’s just the right size for a personal tea session. If you have a medium sized hand then it should be a good fit. I personally couldn’t have picked a better gaiwan. This one fits my hand like a glove. Also it has a nice texture on the outside (I ordered the terra-cotta colored one) that makes for a good grip so that it doesn’t slip out of your hand while pouring. Also, this one has a perfectly fitted lid. One thing to keep in mind is the milliliters of this one. If you’re not familiar with the metric system then this one is about a standard unit of 1 cup. Other than that it seems like it’s well made. I have not complaints. I think it was a good deal for the price. Five stars to the makers of this cute little guy👍🏼👍🏼

The contrast between the smooth white interior and rough, brown exterior is rather beautiful. The white glaze on the inside is especially helpful for seeing the brew color of the tea. The pictures are accurate as to the color of the exterior - note that the finish is very matte. At first I was worried it would be "too rough", but I found it is quite pleasant to hold and drink from. I've used a gaiwan in the past, but am not an expert at holding it. I'm quite happy about the thermal properties of this one - even when the tea is almost too hot to drink, it is easy to hold the gaiwan. The size is what I expected - if you are used to huge American coffee mugs, you'll find it "small", but I think it is the right size for a gaiwan.

Doesn't get too hot, easy to hold, holds a reasonable amount of strong tea for one person, easy to clean. The ideal gadget for chinese and taiwanese teas like pu erh and roasted oolongs. Suitable for fancy gongfu brewing but also works great for drinking straight from it and refilling with hot water until the leaves are tasteless. Only one minor flaw (tiny bump) in the porcelain lining, no big deal.

I really like the quality of this gaiwan. It's a little on the small side but you can get a good 1/2cup pour per brew.

To reiterate - this gaiwan only comfortably holds about 70 mLs - no where near the 130 mLs the listing claims. This is a super cute baby's first gaiwan. It's a little light in the weight department, and the unglazed texture is a little off-putting for some (I started handling it and my husband just hated the noise it made in my fingers - he said it sounded like a chalkboard, which is not wrong). It also only comfortably holds 70 mLs, and I say comfortably as in that's how much it holds to let you handle the edges of the gaiwan and not burn yourself. I'd say maaaaaybe you could get 100 mLs if you fill it all the way up to the top. So if you're looking for something larger, this is not it. However, I wanted something cheap and small for my first foray into gaiwan brewing, and this fits that bill perfectly.

Molto pratica, veramente Carina e smaltata all'interno. Imballata con molta cura è davvero Ben protetta. Levandola dall'imballaggio ho notato sulle Mani una sensazione molto sgradevole di ruvidità della tazza, siccome non è smaltata all'esterno, però dopo averla lavata si è risolto il problema. La smaltatura interna non permetterà l'assorbimento degli Oli essenziali del tè, quindi l'effetto a lungo termine sarà visibile solo esternamente. Molto comoda da usare, tiene molto bene il calore (attenti a non scottarvi) e funziona perfettamente. Io Che ho le mani piccole la ho trovata molto maneggevole. Posso ritenermi soddisfatta, per il Prezzo è davvero buona, la uso ogni giorno.

Ein hübscher kleiner Gaiwan für jeden Tag, vor allem wenn man am Anfang der traditionellen Teezubereitung steht. Gut zu fassen, auch für kleine Hände. Der Deckel sitzt gut. Ist halt günstige Industrieware. Also ein mehr als faires Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Daß man für knapp 10 € keine vom Meister persönlich handgefertigte Yixing-Ware bekommt sollte jedem klar sein. Ich mag das kleine Tässchen und benutze es gerne.
