Good quality jars
Use these for storing homemade yoghurt. Perfect size, look attractive, easy to clean, and so far after a few months use the lids have not rusted. Expect them to last many rears as my previous Kilners have.

I am now a man who is trapped in a domestic cold war with a vacuum seal.
I had a sudden, middle-aged urge to become the kind of person who 'puts up' marmalade. I pictured myself in a rustic apron, gifting golden jars to neighbors. Instead, I am now a man who is trapped in a domestic cold war with a vacuum seal. First off, let’s talk about the orange rubber ring. That little circle of latex is more temperamental than a Hollywood diva. If it’s off by a millimeter, your jam is doomed. If it’s on right, it creates a seal so powerful that a team of structural engineers couldn't pry it open. I tried to open a batch of pickled onions last night and ended up having to use a butter knife, a pair of pliers, and a prayer to a Norse god. The Size: 0.5L is that awkward 'Goldilocks' size. It’s too big for expensive saffron and too small for a decent batch of Kimchi. I currently have exactly four-and-a-half pickles in one jar. The half-pickle is mocking me. It looks like a science experiment gone wrong in a high school lab. The Aesthetics: I will admit, looking at this jar on my shelf makes me feel like I live in a 2025 farmhouse Pinterest board. It screams, 'I have my life together!' even though the contents are actually just leftover pasta sauce I was too lazy to throw away. It’s the tuxedo of glassware—it makes even a handful of loose buttons look like a curated collection. The 'Clink': There is a very specific sound the metal lever makes when you snap it shut. It’s a satisfying CLACK that tells the world, 'This freshness is now under house arrest.' It’s the same sound a submarine hatch makes before it dives. It feels professional. It feels final.

Excellent for overnight oats
Clean, simple, and does exactly what it should. The glass looks good and feels solid without being stupidly heavy. Nice thick glass so it doesn’t feel cheap, but still easy to handle day to day. Lid seals well and keeps overnight oats fresh with no leaks or smells. Easy to clean and doesn’t stain. Good size, good design, and good value. Would happily buy another.

Swanky smoothie jar/cup.
I have been using a BPA free colour changing cup I purchased from a well-known Seattle coffee chain for years, which served me faithfully until the inside began to peel due to thorough daily scrubbing. I wanted to buy a glass cup this time, but found they mostly came in pairs and were more expensive than I wished to pay. I happened upon this preserve jar during my search and I initially bought the 0.5 ltr size in error (far too small for my daily smoothie), but kept it for iced coffee and iced matcha lattes in the summer months. It's the perfect size for those. Impressed by its quality, I ordered the 1 ltr size, and I absolutely love it. It's made from thick glass, has a screw top lid where the centre comes out separately (for use as it is originally intended for bottling preserves), and it keeps the smoothie colder for longer. It washes as cleanly as one would expect from glass and is comfortable to hold despite its weight and size. The added bonus is that it gave me such a lift using it this morning, I definitely unleashed my inner 'that girl', and who wouldn't want that vibe to start their day? Both were inexpensive at under £4, and I highly recommend them, whatever you use them for.
