General Tools 836 The Angle-Izer Tool Angle Template

I've seen these type of angle finders advertised and now need one, but only for occaisional use, so I bought this slightly cheaper version. Never-the-less, it has proved to do the job perfectly well, and I had the chance to compare this one to a metal angel-iser and there was no different in use or accuracy, so this is a really good cheaper-end tool that will last a DIY-er for years.

have yet to actually use this properly...I think I was thrilled by the possibilities and then realised I don't have patienceto support using this properly! It is so time consuming to set it up to the right shape it ends up being easier to fillin awkward gaps with silicone :)I should point out that it is extremely flimsy and lightweight it being 100% plastic - it doesn't feel like a regular use tooland I feel I'm going to break it or throw it away as a non-item!

Product use is great- when it doesn't fall to pieces!!Although the seller of this item responded quickly,and without fuss by supplying a replacement the same problem was experienced!The problem?- The black knobs that hold everything in the position chosen do not tighten sufficiently,therefore the product does not remain in set position!What appears to be the cause is that the"metal"insert in the holding knob is prevented from operating fully by the"threads" being partially blocked thereby not allowing the knobs to be fully tightened. Whilst recognising that the cost of this product is low it is somewhat of a shame that this problem was not addressed at manufacture stage

The tool is exactly as described, but the only reservation I have is the adjusting screws which seem a little flimsy. We'll see how they go in time.

Seems flimsy but it's not, an amazing tool with 000's of uses
