CNP Pro Flapjack - Chocolate Orange High Protein Flapjack Bars – 24 x 75g Protein Oat Bars

OMFG!!! Damn these are tasty! These are almost better than snack bars from the local corner shop! Forget 'get some nuts!' get some of these!!! Plus they're not only super tasty, on Amazon they're great value too!I first discovered these bars in my local Holland & Barett health store and bought a few of them in a couple of different flavours - I'm a fan of almonds and I'm a fan of cherries, and I'm a major fan of the both together, so this was one of the first flavours I picked up to try.At two-fifty a pop though, they might be tasty but they weren't cheap. So I had a little peruse on Amazon and found the same bars here at a fraction of the price. Do the maths - a box like this would cost me around sixty quid when bought on the highstreet.However, luckily, thanks to Amazon, I can now pick these tasty treats up and still pay the mortgage. It works out well because now I can be healthy and still have a home to live in.The texture of these bars is the best I've come across in any protein bar so far. Some are too tough, some are too chewy, others are too powdery - but these - these my friends are like something out of Goldielocks and the Three Bears... just right.They are soft and oaty, yet firm too. They taste a bit like Battenburg cake (so steer clear of them and try another flavour if you don't like that cake or marzipan) and the oaty bar has a yogurt or white chocolate coatin along the bottom.These are truly delicious in my opinion and if you're after a protein bar I say this is the one to go for... I bought a box of these after trying a couple of bars out first from my Holland & Barrett store. I also purchased the chocolate orange flavour as well, but I found the orange flavouring overpowered the taste of everything else in the bar. In light of this I purchased the chocolate flavour and they are delicious. The chocolate layer on them tastes like chocolate, unlike some protein bars. You're never going to find a protein bar that is as good as an actual flapjack or bar of chocolate but you also don't want it to be disgusting. I've had protein bars before that taste like cardboard and are physical a workout in themselves to even eat them they're so tough. But this bar isn't bad, yes the taste isn't *amazing* - I wouldn't pick it over a Terry's Chocolate Orange - but I do quite like it, certainly enough to happily pick one up as a snack post workout pr in between meals. They are a little tough to chew and are surprisingly filling but I will be buying them again and am interested in trying out some of the other flavours, especially considering how many bars you get for such a great price.

At first I was sceptical of these Flapjacks after I had placed my order. So many for such a low price made me think they would be of poor quality, I was wrong.Not only do they flapjacks taste of chocolate orange but they have a far better texture than other protein bars and do not leave a sour aftertaste like others I have tried.The amount of protein, carbs and fats were also perfect to help achieve lean gains in size without filling the body with all kinds of unnecessary additives.These bars are loaded with polyols which are a type of sugar that the body does not break down to use or store. This meant that whilst they still had a great sweetness to the flavour, they did not cause a huge spike in blood sugar levels or promote fat gain.I would recommend these to anyone who wants an easy source of pre or post workout fuel on the go.

Hmmm, they are good bars, however, most bars are 24g protein these are 18g, and 38g carbs, which is okay, i bought chocolate flavour, but its more of an artificial chocolate flavour build into the flapjack, the bottom half is covered not the top half also. I am into fitness etc, and CNP are always bang on the money with what goes into there products is listed on the packet, but mayb try a diff flavour.

I've tried quite a few brands and flavours of protein bars, usually from supermarkets. Buying them a few at a time was really expensive though, and a lot of the time it was hit and miss with the texture and flavour of what I was getting, so I decided to look on amazon for something cheaper and that people typically find tasty. Decided to get these and they're pretty great, they taste good and I like their flapjack texture, and way cheaper than buying a few protein bars at at time from the supermarket which can range from £1.50 to £3.00. These come out at about 63p per bar which is great. Would definitely recommend.
