Have had these plates a little over a year now. We purchased the black color. They are light weight and durable. They stack well and save space. Easy to clean and look great. Highly recommend.Update: The black is no longer available. Would love to order a second set of dishes and hoping they will be back in stock. We still love our dishes, and have had almost two years now. Super low maintenance dishware. I have back issues and the light weight makes it possible for me to get them out of the cabinet easily. Very durable, easy to clean and are almost completely dry right out of the dishwasher. We absolutely love them and highly recommend. Would love to purchase matching ramen style bowls for this set and of course really hoping the black comes back in stock!Second Update: At the end of this month we will have had this dish set for three years now. They are extremely durable and we still have all of our plates and bowls intact--with the exception of one bowl that my cat bunny kicked into a hard surface and that would have broken any dishware. They microwave well and we have not had any chipping or cracks. They are still a beautiful and shiny black--- look great with food. We absolutely love them. I like to update my review for exceptional products, because seeing long term reviews is what I like to see when purchasing.

I needed dishes for my RV where weight is an issue. I chose it for the color, the square shape (fits in the confines of an RV shelf) and it's description promising "light weight and durable". This set has the feel of Corning dishes which I love. It washes well and looks great. I can't speak to long-term durability, but with TLC I'm sure we'll be enjoying these for quite a while.

Loved the set. Nice to look at. Lightweight.I use it for best. The first time I microwaved using the desert bowl for 30 seconds, it cracked in half!! So much for microwave safe. Damners - will you please replace a bowl?

Wow! I'm in love with these dishes. I got the black plate and bowl set. High quality. Modern shape. Lightweight. Stacks great. Thought I was going to break one out of my clumsy unpacking 3x (yeah) but it didn't even chip! I seriously thought for sure, I didn't want to look but nothing. Comes out of dishwasher looking perfect and brand new with no water spots. I was worried about the white ring of dried water but there was nothing. I love this set so much I purchased 3 sets. Packing was impressive. No way anything will break with the packaging. Great price for what you are getting. Beautiful 100%.

These plates were great! Over time they break and chip really easy, I currently have 1 bowl left and it’s chipped, 2 little plates, and all 4 big plates but one has a chip in it. Bought a different set after the second bowl broke so these just sit in the cabinet as back up plates. You can’t use them in the microwave they break even if it’s just for a minute. You can’t have your child handle them and put them in the sink they will break. You can’t place them in the sink and place other dishes on top of them while hand washing, they’ll chip. So save your money it’s not worth it.My husband and I recently moved into a new home and have been endlessly searching for a dishes set. I love how they look and feel! Super lightweight and they are a really nice shiny black, can’t get better then that! I haven’t used them yet other then washing them. I can’t wait to use them! (Hand and lighter in the picture to show size) which I bought it for the plates and they are a perfect to size for our family!

I'd been wishing that Corelle would make some black vitrelle dishes because most food looks so nice against black. So was really pleased when I ran across this Danmers set of the same stuff Corelle is made from, tough fused glass.They arrived today in great shape -- no chips or flaws. I'm puzzled by some reviews that said they seem more delicate than Corelle as mine seem a bit thicker & heavier. Suppose that's to the good.Other reviewers also commented on the bowls being small. I think the bowls are a very nice size, perfect for a reasonable serving of cereal or ice cream or small salads. In fact, they are seem bigger & deeper than the bowls with Corelle dinnerware sets. Bigger bowls than these don't generally come in dinnerware sets. I often eat out of bigger bowls, but I'm sure I'll get lots of use out of these.So far I'm more pleased than I expected with this set.
