WORKTOP EXPRESS Solid Walnut Wooden Chopping Board - 45cm x 30cm x 4cm Rectangular European Hardwood Cutting, Serving and Carving Block

This is a really large and robust chopping board. Beautiful wood and wonderfully crafted. As with any natural product, you need to look after it. Left wet, any wooden product can warp so don’t leave wet! Every few washes, I rub some veg oil into it - protects and brings up brand new aesthetically. This is a big lump of wood which makes it heavy - this naturally makes it more difficult to wash than smaller or lighter materials. Wifey won’t wash it, so bought myself a job there when I bought this!! Would do again in heartbeat as it is absolutely worth it for the quality.

My husband is a very proud and passionate cook and is very fussy about his kitchen. This chopping board is outstanding - it looks lovely, is sturdy, well made, great colour, and the service was really good. Can’t believe it was such a reasonable price. Would highly recommend to anyone (and I never normally write reviews!).

Very pleased with this cutting board, I must of got the last one in stock (walnut ). Weight heavy, 40mms thick, and look reallys good. Bought the oil to treat the wood, just put an extra coat on the chopping board, soon soaks in. Should last year's if you look after it. Will get back in comments if any problems arise.

On opening package it looked great. Solid and heavy piece of wood and looked well too. After about 3weeks of use the glued timber segments split apart and the board began to curl up. Now its pretty much unusable as a cutting board as it rocks about on the worktop and cutting surface isnt flat. Got replacement board (refer to updated review)

The board had a split in the wood. Didn't notice it until the first time I wiped it down and some lint from my cloth got caught in it. Not only did that mean it could be unhygienic to use in future. But it also had a very sharp edge. It also appeared very dull unlike the image. On the plus side Amazon handled the return well.

The best chopping board. Solid piece of the most beautiful wood. Extremely sturdy. So easy to keep clean. The height makes removing contents from the board so much easier than a flat board. Oiling it occasionally keeps it looking beautiful. Love it.

Absolutely beautiful item, for the price. I felt the edges were a little sharp, but took 2 minutes to sand. Also not sure it's treated, but made my own wax from 1 part beeswax and 3 parts coconut oil (& a couple drops essential oil, melted together then set for an hour til it's wax consistency) and again, took minutes to treat. REALLY happy I bought this, looks much more expensive than it is.

LOW THREE STAR rating due to the fact, the board that I received, certainly does not LOOK LIKE THE WALNUT picture, wood very light, more like the OAK, possibly it is. NO MARKINGs ON BOX TO SAY WHAT IT WAS. So I have no idea as to what wood this is made from. Don't think this was seasoned with oil either, as to the way it soaked up the oil that I put on it and waxed afterwards. It does seem very sturdy, time will tell. Put down the value for money, as I don't know what wood this is. If not WALNUT as I sorely think, it is NOT WALNUT, then not value for money. Would I buy this again, possibly, if I knew what wood it was made from. Would I recommend this board, NO as I can't swear as to what this board is made from.
