Don't buy the fake rooster stuff, buy this!!
Sriracha was invented in Thailand and this is the real deal. The flavor is much better and more complex than the Chinese rooster stuff most places sell. I am never without a bottle of this brand of hot sauce. If you like sriracha, you need to get this.If I had any complaint, it would be as others have mentioned, the squirt top won't let you deliver a few drops. By the time you squeeze hard enough for it to expel, you get at least a couple of teaspoons worth. The solution is to purchase a set of food grade squeeze dispenser bottles and fill one from this bottle.

FYI... long review
After reading a news story about the origin of Sriracha sauce and learning that there are two commercially available labels of the closest representation to the real original sauce from Si Racha, I was super excited to find one on Amazon. When I saw this sauce was listed as Prime, I did have a hope that it would not be long till I could try it. On the second day we got an email from the seller saying shipping was delayed because the US Governments shutdown meant Customs was horribly behind in processing. I cannot reasonably fault the seller for problems caused in Washington, so I said "meh, not surprised", and it will get here when it gets here. I was still excited to find it to begin with. When it arrived and I was finally able to try it, I was elated. It definitely has more flavor than Rooster Sauce and nowhere near as much spice. This reflected what I read in the news story, where someone brought Rooster Sauce to Thailand to compare the original to the US version and I could taste what they were talking about. Sriraja Panich has a lot more going on and definitely a lot more garlic and Rooster was more "close enough, lay on the heat". I feel you can use SP much more liberally on more of your food without it overpowering it, like I often feel Rooster does.My only complaint (if you can call it that) is the bottle. It is more like a squeeze ketchup bottle and I find it a little difficult to control the amount if I want just a little. I guess I could always just transfer the sauce into a Rooster bottle to use the better flow-control green top. Will buy again.

Husband says it's "good stuff"
I bought this as a birthday gift for my husband based on the NPR article about the original Siracha sauce. I like supporting family owned businesses, especially those that originally invented the sauce.Hubs is a HUGE Siracha sauce fan, just so you know. He tasted this version and said "it's sweet and tart and about 10 seconds later, the heat kicks in". He also said it's a more complex flavor and not just heat and that he liked it better. He also said he's going to have to ration himself with this, so perhaps I should go ahead and order another bottle. :) Win for the birthday gift! He's also happy to see that there's no MSG in it!To be fair, it did take a while for the order to arrive - because it was shipped from 1/2 around the world. But, it was well packaged and arrived safe and sound.Very happy with our purchase and am ordering again. Thank you to the family who invented this sauce... it's very much appreciated!

Great sauce, but...
Love the sauce; everything positive written about its taste is accurate. But what possessed them to bottle it with a dispenser that ensures you'll be putting your clothes into the laundry because there is no way to direct the sauce where you want it (ie, onto your food and not your leg)? Buy the sauce for sure, but when you want some unscrew the top entirely and carefully pour some out. Don't try to use the squirt dispenser.

Traditional flavor, great sauce!
my brother's wife's mom is from Thailand. his wife grew up here eating a mix of american and traditional thai dishes. many years ago she started using the only sauce she could get locally that being the big american name most know of. last summer she went to visit her grandparents and while there they got her hooked on this type of traditional thai sauce. she stopped buying the american version, went with this brand instead and never looked back.i noticed the difference my first meal there after she made the change. while not quite as hot but i prefer the flavor on most things. so many asian foods i had eaten and knew what to expect taste wise but with this, for some dishes it was almost like eating it for them first time. though she sticks only with this sauce now i still use both. i like options and this gives me yet another.

It’s Great!!!
It’s great!! I very much like “America’s Favorite” which has been in short supply. I very much like the Sriracha now being made by the former jalapeno supplier of “America’s Favorite”. However, I love Sriraja Panich. It’s balanced. It’s slightly sweet. The garlic flavor seals the deal. If you’re panicking about Srirachi shortages, give this a try.

Delicious! Love this original Sriracha
I've always been a Sriracha lover ever since I first came across it many years ago. However, it wasn't until recently I learned the history behind the popularized western "cock sauce" version with the rooster. This version was a more spicy recipe that played off the original Thailand one, with the latter being more sweet and savory, as opposed to just all flame. The Thailand Sriracha, the one here I am reviewing, is a perfect blend of spicy with a tiny bit of sweet. It tantilizes more of the tastebuds and has an overall much better flavor, in my opinion. So glad this is sold on Amazon so that I could try it, straight from Bangkok!

It's tasty but north worth the money
This is good sauce tasting, but hardly worth the price on Amazon.Seems they're starting to sell it in brick and mortar stores in the US for about $2.I don't regret buying it, it IS tasty. It doesn't taste like Huy Fong's Rooster Sauce, nor did I expect it to, and I'm not unhappy with it other than the price..(I make my own hot sauces, I'm one-a them nerds lol, and still but a lot)
