Brilliant for beginners, highly recommend!
This was the second incubator I bought, first was a cheap one off eBay which promptly blew up! Should have just paid a bit more and gone with a trusted brand in the first place. This one is so so easy to set up and maintain and brilliant design means kids can easily see what’s going on. It does have quite a loud hum so best to be kept in a room where you can shut the door! I would also say 10 hen eggs is optimistic, I have 8 small bantam eggs in it and that is at a push. Overall excellent buy.

Lost in the small print
Make sure you realise that, despite the handsome price, this is not automatic and you will be turning eggs by hand every few hours for 28 days!

Happy, healthy chicks
Great little incubator, that is easy to use. Only two small problems. When Brinsea says it can take up to 10 eggs, they are pushing the limits. I have two Brinsea Mini Eco incubators and with 8 eggs in each they were very cramped and the hatchlings were really struggling to settle down while they were drying out. The other issue I had was the hatching humidity which I found was impossible to achieve without an extra little water container added. But other than that I found the temperature and the incubation humidity to be rock steady . Very pleased with my incubators and my little chicks.

Reliable and easy to use.
Brinsea products are always number one in my opinion. Love the fact that this version of the Mini 11 eco has an external water filler for topping up humidity. Used a couple of times now, so easy to use and clean. Would recommend for hobby poultry keeper.

10 would be a tight fit. UPDATE: fan failed and started to smell burnt!
It is a bit noisy but hey it's a forced air incubator and it's going to be noisy. With that said I'm curious what size the hen eggs were they used to determine how many eggs could fit into the incubator. I'm saying this as I have 9 Brahma eggs wedged into this even 8 was a squeeze and lucked out by one being on the small side. Would like to say the eggs my hens are laying for consumption are the size of the Brahma eggs and they (my hens eggs) are classed as medium in sizeEdited: I would like to add that you should get a hydrometer as there was not enough humidity for the first 18 days even tho one side was topped up inside and the outside reserve tank was always filled everyday and checked every few hrs. I'm saying this as 8 eggs made it to lockdown and all ended up shrink wrapped and I had to help due to being shrink wrapped and getting to it to late I lost 1. But I still have 7 healthy babies but a good tested hydrometer is a must.UPDATE:Bought this almost a year ago used it for 2 hatches. After my hatches I cleaned it and put it up in it's box in my room on a shelf, until I went to start it up today to get things set with it as I needed to use it for eggs that needed to go on lock down sunnday Ran fine no issues for 4 hours roughly then the fan started to stopped, start and die if you unpluged it the fan would start up then repeat the stop, start fail then it started to smelled like it was burning so I just unplugged it I thought about buying a replacement fan and maybe thought it was the power supply in some way and thought about buying a new lead I also found the liquid in glass temp thingy has separted!. of course neither the power supply or fan are sold here on amazon (at lest when I looked) I did not feel like paying again for this item specially if it will fail after 2 uses I have now bought a Heka incubator and cant wait for it to get here. until then I have to make a homemade incubator/hatcher cuz this incubator fail! not impressed with this one

Waste of money - paying for the name - useless
Do not buy this incubator. The screw driver supplied to alter the temperature is about as useful as a chocolate tea pot and basically, doesn’t work. I have spent the last 2.5 wks adjusting the temperature constantly. There are cheaper alternatives with digital temperature controls - go for one of those.

Great little incubator
Great little incubator. Very easy to set up and operate with a simple to follow guide. I have 12 bantam eggs in mine at present due to hatch in six days. I have used the hatching mat as advised by brinsea customer support, who were excellent, as my eggs were rolling about on the plastic when I turned them but the mat has resolved that issue. Very pleased with it so far.

Wrote to brinsea for assistsnce and was fobbed off , even thought I managed to get what I asked for from them from their replacement page, machine is reasonable but go for the auto turning if you can afford it
