No Gimmick Involved Here !
I have suffered left leg/hip pain for about 15 years (I,m 76). It started with sciatica but led to osteoarthritis. I have tried many remedies - pain killers, copper shoe inserts/bracelets reiki, black seed oil, and felt some relief but nothing very convincing or reliable. The condition has worsened over recent years and I have progressed from electric cycles to mobility scooters (now installing a hoist to get it in my car so I can do a bit of exploring above the very minimum as walking is more or less OUT). I was sent a flyer by the UK agents but saw that there would be a postage advantage by getting the "Pain Gone" from Amazon. The existing reviews seemed encouraging so I sent for one pen. The item is just over 5 inches long and just under 1 inch across. It's neatly designed to fit into the fist, with a slightly recessed metal electrode, in the tip. To operate you need to grip the pen firmly as the resistance to the red plunger is quite firm, indeed at some spots used it needs two hands (but I an oldie). The click seems to charge up some sort of electric current (something like a piezo-electric gas lighter but without the spark). It does give a slight jolt on each press. Not painful as such but not pleasant (especially for some tender individuals who perhaps could perhaps not tolerate it initially). I found that Pain Gone works for me. There is a little delay in numbing. The pen can get warm after 3 or 4 30-40 presses, as I have to attack several sites on my knee to hip. There seems to be a faint odour at this time (but I may be wrong here). I use the pen as and when it seems appropriate (it does work through several layers of clothing)- the very best benefit for me is that over several years, my sleep has been hard to find until perhaps 2 or 3 a.m. - and I was usually awakened hourly thereafter with paryoxisms of pain (in the knee mainly). Since using the Pain Gone I have had fairly unbroken sleep, and if I awaken, the pain responds to the "pinger" quite happily. If my family happen to be awake then they can hear the "pings" but they do not complain that it wakes them up though. The constant severe pain has certainly lessened but it won't cure the underlying lameness and joint misarticulation of a chronic sufferer. What it does is to give you a new sense that you can control the condition, and I have certainly cut out a dose of painkillers ( I take 3 or 4 doses of ibruprofen, paracetamol and other NSAIDs on a rotating basis per day and carefully log them in my diary as OD's are a real risk here). I can recommend the pen on the basis of a few days use - whether the law of diminuishing return can kick in I have yet to see - I certainly hope not as I am very pleased with results so far.

Pain Relief
I have suffered with intermittent sciatica for a few years now it comes and goes but I do not want to dose myelf up and be dependant on pills. I was sceptical about this product, as it has a money back guarantee I gave it a try. Surprised to say it works but you have to do it right. Not so easy with a pain in the middle of the back as you can't reach the pain point. I can only just do it as the pain is around my side but I have to be careful how I hold the pen as I get a nasty shock in my hand if held wrongly. Used over clothes is best, I tried it on bare skin and got a tiny little burn where the spark hit my skin plus a suprisingly strong shock. No doubt about the fact that it works it can be felt each time you use it but needs to be "clicked" at least thirty times in one place at each application. Sometimes more than one application is needed but with patience it does ease the pain. for the price this is a good idea, much better than some odd products on the market sold by Multi Level Marketing people at inflated prices, some over £230.00 each. They claim them to be "Magic Wands" and then they tell you they only work if you believe in them, mind over matter really and YES I bought one. I reverted to using the pain pen and what a difference in price but remember if you have a pain in the back you need to ask a friend to help you.

Fight pain with Pain! Works but it's quite painful to use!
My knee was giving me hard time and since none of the painkilling creams etc. worked, I decided to give this Pain Gone pen a go. Well I received it quickly and at first I was little bit unsure how this thing can even work. Well after using it couple of times I can now tell it does work, but it ain't the most comfortable devise to use. How it works is basically you put the pen agains your the skin you want to get "fixed" and press the button on the pen like 30-40 times. Each time you press the button the pen gives you a small electric "needle punch" that will give your brain a message to send some help to relieve the pain. This tiny "electric punch" isn't that bad at first but after you go over 10 presses, you will be surprised how uncomfortable this pen can be. For me reaching those 30 or even 40 presses is quite difficult since I simply wanted to stop by the time I reached approximately 20 presses. In some sense it's amazing how much "power" this pen has but overall this is basically "fight pain with pain" treatment method. It works but it ain't the most enjoyable way to get rid off the pain for sure. I will definitely use it again if needed but this isn't something that I would like to use on day to day basis, this is more for those occasional pains that needs a quick fix.

Totally useless do not buy!
I bought this as I suffer lots of pain in my back and leg. Firstly it is very difficult to use on your own back as you have to be a contortionist to get your arm around your back and hold the pen correctly then press(with some force) whilst in this contorted position ! Furthermore it has no effect whatsoever apart from pain with every click! I tried it a couple of times to no avail so asked for a refund on the grounds it was either faulty or just a useless product but the company have a no returns/ refund policy! ( Funny that!) I am now trying to appeal to Amazon as they should not be allowing these companies to sell their defective products! I am beginning to mistrust Amazon more and more as this is the second item I have now purchased on the premise that the company is reputable only to find its more useless Chinese land fill ! 😡
