Very flavourful mixture that packs a punch but maybe a tad overpowering for some. Good quality, well sealed to retain freshness. Pricey!

This is hands down one of my favourite teas to drink regularly. It's also forgiving if you over-brew as it's not a strong flavour. Just pull the tea leaves out without disturbing them - don't squeeze the teabag if you're using one. The only thing I'm not keen on is the strong earthy smell of the dry ingredients, but brewed the tea smells as delicious as it tastes. Vahdam's loose teas are packaged in a vacuum sealed bag, and boxed with an empty dark gripseal bag to transfer the loose tea into to keep it fresh. I like this new packaging as it keeps the tea as fresh as possible, and the gripseal bag is plain so it could be washed and refused later. If you want to try teas that are unique and interesting you can't go wrong with Vahdam.

Well you asked for a review so here it is! Also, I would give the tea 3 and half stars but am unable to do so. I am a Darjeeling fan and have tried a variety of different teas from a company in Winchester. Makaibari 1st Flush Makaibari 2nd Flush Namring 1st Flush Soom Happy Valley and Margaret's Hope 1st and 2nd flush Of these I prefer the latter two and in particular Margaret's Hope 2nd flush. The Vahdam Darjeeling is good which is to say perhaps 4th among the above and has a slight sweetness to it which I like but it does not have the depth of flavour of the two teas mentioned above so, while they are a little more expensive, it is these teas that I will continue to purchase. Of course, this view is dictated by my tastebuds so others would disagree, but if you have a darjeeling that more approximates the flavour of Margret's Hope I would be happy to try it!

This excellent tea makes a pleasant change from my usual Vahdam's English Breakfast. Not quite as strong or dark, but it has a very pleasant aftertaste which is reminiscent of the flavour of Chai. Do leave it for a full five minutes to brew to extract maximum taste. I also liked the inclusion of the sealable, storage bag which helps retain freshness. Never disappointed by the quality products of this eco-aware, ethical employer company. Worth paying that little bit extra for all that.

I can barely taste green tea overshadowed by bergamot. Bergamot itself has a very chemical-like taste. Will not buy again

Excellent smoked tea ! Everyone at home loved it. Slightly higher brew soak time gives a better flavor (I usually soak in water slightly below boiling point for about 7-8 mins)

I had ordered the Smoky Assam with the Himalayan Green, and when they were unboxed I noted that the vacuum seal had somehow been broken on the Assam. There was no visible hole or perforation anywhere, but I contacted customer service just to be safe. Apparently this happens sometimes, they advised to go ahead and try the tea, and if I didn't like it they'd take care of it. I've heard of Lapsong Souchong tea before, but haven't had a chance to try it. Upong smelling, the Smoky Assam had a nice black tea bouquet mixed with a definite scent of campfire embers--in the rain. My first cup I set to 95C and steeped for 4min. The black tea itself was very mellow, and the smokiness was definitely there, but delicately balanced with the tea so that you'd notice it for sure, but it wouldn't overpower. With 1teaspoon of most Vahdam teas I can usually get 3 11.5oz cups, each a tad weaker. I've been a fan of Vahdam now for over a year, and with every cup I'm always floored by the meditative tranquility and subtle flavors of their various varieties. It was my first ever loose-leaf brand and I've found it difficult to try others.

First time I have tried tea from this company. Very good quality white tea. Best white tea I have had in fact. Lovely aroma and delicate flavor. Will be buying more in the future. Recommend to anyone who enjoys a good cup of white tea.

The Assam Souchong seems a smoother tea (smoked with pine and oak) than my usual lapsang souchong tea (smoked with only a sharper pine). I'm afraid I prefer the "rougher" varieties, however those around me were delighted with this variety. The freshness and the packaging was excellent but the enclosed Foil lined zip lock bags for home storage proved surplice to requirement as the leaves were used up by all and sundry in record time. At the price does need to be treated as a special treat rather than the everday tea.
