Great tool and works well
What a great little tool and very helpful to determine the water pressure for my lawn sprinkler project. The built quality is good and I got very similar readings on both my outside taps so I believe it's fairly accurate. Once connected to a tap, I took a reading then opened a second tap. The pressure obviously drops, but it then went back to the first reading when I closed the second tap. When taking readings, keep the hose in a straight line because if the hose is bent or kinks, it could affect the reading's accuracy. I'm very pleased with this purchase and at £10, I can highly recommend this Silverline pressure gauge.

Would have 5 star if not for an IMPORTANT piece of information missing for the instructions
I was using my pressure washer and thought that it wasn’t performing very well and was wondering if it was the machine or the water mains pressure. I thought I better check the water pressure first before buying a new pressure washer. I chose this model mainly because I was getting a brand I recognised (Silverline) at an excellent price and seems to be built very well using quality materials. The plastic pressure gauge measures between 0 and 11 bar (0-160psi) and is connected to a quality and very flexible 300mm braided stainless steel hose. It has a standard 9mm diameter bore connection with a quality seal and also includes a 3/4” adapter allowing it to connect to 95% of domestic screw on taps. Connection is easy enough, it just screws on to the tap making sure it is screwed on tight to create a leak proof seam. Now this is very IMPORTANT when using the gauge make sure that you keep the hose straight as the moment it starts to bend the water pressure increases and the more it bends the greater the pressure. This is vitally important and should have been mentioned in the instructions but is not. The item would have received a 5-star rating if it was not for instructions not stating the problem I mentioned. All in all, it is a quality pressure gauge and is excellent value for money.

Good water pressure guage
Bought to check water pressure before getting water softener. Works fine and easy to attach to garden tap and clearly read the vale in BAR and PSI.

Useful piece of kit. What else would you use?
Easy to use. I was amazed to find my water pressure at home in north Wales UK is 8 bar. No wonder we get so many burst pipes.

Good for the price
It’s ok to give you a rough idea

Works, but delicate.
I needed this to measure the pressure in our irrigation system. It worked fine, the 3/4" BSP fitting being just right. Then I dropped it, not very far onto soft ground, and its readings changed significantly. So I took it apart and discovered that the calibration is via a thin piece of curved brass, bent to achieve the correct needle position. Long nosed pliers and a bit of trial and error recalibrated it and I now handle it with great care! My conclusion: fine if used with care, but probably not suitable for an environment where it might be subjected to even minor shocks.

Easy to use
Arrived earlier than expected. It didn't fit my garden-hose tap, but it did fit onto the one for the washing machine, despite it coming supplied with a size adapter. I guess there was a metric/imperial thing happening there. The pressure meter is VERY easy to use, but having now established the water pressure, I'll probably never use it again. Great product, though. Does exactly what it should.
