Nice substrate - great plant growth
I've used this substrate in two tanks so far, one nano and one larger at 130 litres and I found that two larger bags were plenty for my larger tank.My fish, plants, shrimp and snails all seem to be doing brilliantly! Hard to say if plant growth is much better but they have grown well. It's a nice dark colour and a decent size, was easy enough to place plants but my dwarf hair grass has come loose a couple of times - possibly due to corydoras rummaging.I do have some left in a smaller bag that I might try on another tank in the future, or possibly when I re-scape my larger tank, for added depth.I would recommend this substrate if you are searching for a cheaper alternative to some of the other ones available!

Works really well
Set up a nano tank and the product worked really well, holds the plants really well but you do need tweezers for installation of the roots. Water was clear from the get go and remains so some months after with well growing plants.

Rubbish
I put this in my tank. Ever yimeci didca water change the water was cloudy and when settled after hrs it left a residue of dirt all over the plants. I had washed the gravel before using. It had been in my tank over yr and still was doing this. In the end I had enough a cleaned it out. Will never use.

So far, really good!
Would love to give it five stars but i haven't had it long enough to make that judgement. (which i will update on later months)However, so far this product has held up pretty well in my planted tank i am currently in the process of cycling then stocking my tank (luckily) so far my plants have remained healthy and i love the way this substrate looks in my tank. I would defo purchase again-if I was to have another tank- but i actually have a lot of extra substrate left over (which is great!) The substrate is a nice dark brown colour and in my opinion this is very similar to Fluval stratum and I am truly enjoying it.

Be careful adding to established tank
Be careful adding to an established tank as it causes a mini cycle. The soil will cause a spike in ammonia & nitrite, I got lucky and lost just 1 neon tetra due to two 50% water changes in 2 days before the established bacteria took over. Entirely my fault as the soil is very good and looks better than the play sand I was using. My Adolfi Cories seem to really like it. Early days for the plants yet but it's stopped my bristle nose pleco creating a sand storm when he charges about.

looks smart and well priced
so far i cant complain, have had it in the tank for about 2 weeks now, my plants seem to like the soil and no issues with the water going cloudy or brown, very happy
