ASUSTOR AS-202T 2 Bay Desktop Network Attached Storage with RAID/UPnP Media Streaming/iTunes Server

Prior to this I have had (and still have) 2 other NAS devices. I bought this one because the Media Server built into the newer of my NAS devices performs like a sick dog and can't be upgraded.I bought this NAS and fitted it with 2 x high speed Seagate Barracuda 2TB SATA drives. It was up and running in just a few minutes.The ADM software is entirely web browser-driven, looks very acceptable and is easy to use and to understand. I have set up several users and shares with different permissions very easily. I can access it from anywhere (not just at home) and I can play films from it on my Android devices whilst I'm out and about as well as getting at all my files.Every software item has good help pitched at just the right level with a link for more information that takes you to the ASUSTOR University where a PDF training guide for that feature is then displayed.It is child's play to find apps that can be downloaded and installed and then to go get them and set them up. I was able to readily acquire my favourite media server (PLEX Media Server) and have it quickly up and running.If it has anything to say then it sends me email.There is great visibility as to who is using it and what it is doing with free apps for iPhone and Android to remote control it from anywhere.I buy a lot of films online and it is a pain having bought (say) 10 of them to download them one by one; the ASUSTOR NAS has a download assistant where you can load it up with all the links and it will go away and download the whole lot for you in the background whilst you do something more productive.You can plug in a USB drive on the front and press a single button and it backs up the whole drive onto the NAS.Whoever designed the software and tools to support this NAS really did an excellent job; I've been designing software for over 40 years so I do not say this lightly.It is fast flexible and I'm delighted with it.

Should really be 3.5 stars - setting up and initial configuration very easy and generally stops you from doing anything foolish, but in actual performance it is really quite slow at writing.

Toller nas, bietet eine tolle software und lässt sich per ssh Steuern.Die Einrichtung war sehr einfach und das gut ist auch sehr übersichtlich gestaltet.Dazu bietet asustor einen appstore, bei dem es auch fast alles gibt.

NAS de qualité, très facile à mettre en oeuvre, simple mais complet. Notice et faqs en français (assez rare pour le souligner !). Silencieux et fiable pour l'instant...........manque juste une "appli." pour pouvoir l'allumer et l'éteindre à partir d'une tablette !

Un bon NAS deux baies pas trop cher. Asustor dispose d'un store avec pas mal d'applications et un service client très réactif même (il y a 6h de décalage horaire entre eux et nous)Bref pour mon premier NAS, j'en suis très satisfait :)

On a vite fait le tour du NAS Asustor ... Si vous êtes plutot "touche à tout" en informatique vous allez vite vous heurter à ses limites. Je vous conseille d'opter pour un NAS d'une autre marque, avec plus de fonctionnalités.En revanche les performances en elles même sont vraiment inintéressantes pour le prix !
