Excellent sound when paired with wireless rear speakers
I have always said I would never have a soundbar as I didn't see how they could supply surround sound. I have changed my mind after buying this soundbar along with Samsung SWA-9000S wireless rear speakers. The kit as a whole supplies an excellent quality 5.1DD/DTS surround sound. I've only had it for one day but I've given it a test using Sky, Netflix, Amazon Video & Amazon Music & Blu-ray & all platforms work very well, I am very impressed. The first proper test was watching the first episode of The Haunting Of Hill House on Netflix. There was one major audio scare-jump that really got me & I rarely jump at horror, but I could also hear nighttime insects in the background that sounded as if they were on the other side of my living-room. I didn't think a soundbar could do that. The volume level changes depending on what you're watching. With Sky, I could go up to 40, with Netflix & Amazon Video, 21 was fine & with a Blu-ray film I could go as low as 9 & it was still quite loud. I haven't purchased any 4K UHD Blu-ray films yet but I would imagine the sound level would be the same as regular Blu-ray.The unit itself is quite heavy but very solid. Connections such as HDMI are on the underneath rather than the back. I have placed mine on our wooden floor under our TV unit & used the material it was wrapped in to place it on to cushion it from vibrations. I have this teamed up with a Samsung 4K UHD HDR+ 65" TV & a Samsung 4K UHD HDR Blu-ray player. I have connected the soundbar to the Samsung One Connect box ( which connects to the TV ) via HDMI ( ARC ).If you wish to buy this as well as the rear speakers, I would suggest getting them both at the same time & setting them up together. This is because you have to connect a dongle which comes with the rear speakers to the underneath of the soundbar. I would think this would be difficult to do if the soundbar was already wall-mounted. As a side note, although they are advertised as wireless speakers, the two rear speakers are connected to the wi-fi unit by regular speaker cable & the wi-fi unit itself needs to be plugged into a power source. All in all, I'm very pleased with what I've heard so far & with the look of the soundbar & would recommend it if you're upgrading or thinking of giving a soundbar a go.

Excellent upgrade from built-in TV speakers
Bought this to upgrade from the fairly unremarkable speakers built into my Philips Android TV, and the difference is night and day. Vocals are clearer, there is no distortion, and the bass packs a hell of a punch considering there's no separate sub. It still sounds great even at lower volumes, which you'll probably want to stick to unless you really hate your neighbours.Installation was a snap in my case - plugged it in, hooked it up to a spare HDMI-ARC output from my TV, and that was it. The TV picked it up correctly and even remapped its volume control to control the soundbar instead. My only minor gripe is that sometimes when you switch sources (e.g. from an app on the TV to an Xbox connected via HDMI) the soundbar seems to lose its connection and the TV reverts back to using its built-in speakers. Not sure whether this is the TV or the soundbar that's causing the issue, but it only seems to happen occasionally, and if it does a simple 'turn it off and on again' sorts it out.TL;DR: Great quality for the price, movies and games sound amazing.

Not Great With Older TVs, Even Samsung ones.
Great sound in a compact single unit and it lives up to the revues here and on other sites like tech-radar. Various sites say it ships with an optical cable which isn't true. It comes with no connecting cables. Samsung do at least supply batteries for the remote. If you want to connect multiple wired devices then to get over the limitation of having only one HDMI port you have to have HDMI Arc or, if your TV is a few years old, you need to use an optical cable. In which case save yourself a hundred quid and get the 550. The optical outlet doesn't sound as good as HDMI Arc. If you connect to the TV with these options you can use your TV inputs to connect devices and the sound bar will work seamlessly with them through the TV.The wireless and blue-tooth options are great and simple to set up.It has a nice minimalist remote.

Great value at £300...
It represents good value for money. If you are looking for top quality, aural precision, balance and punch, then you’ll have to spend quite a bit more. Four figures i suspect. But for £300 i’d be very surprised of you find anything that out-performs this. For bass fiends, the addition of the Samsung woofer, will probably be necessary. But at a ridiculous £800, i somehow managed to resist the temptation.

Excellent sound quality
The media could not be loaded. Amazing product and swift delivery from my seller (Best Gadgets 4 All ltd). Came a day early!Setup is typically Samgsung and user friendly... Read the instructions and you'll be fine. MUST have the Samsung "SmartThings" app and a Samsung account in order to use with Alexa and other smart devices. That bit can be clunky to newcomers to gadgets like these!Excellent quality sound for this price range!

Poorly designed and made product from a quality brand
Bought this to go with my Series 7 TV. I have a lot of Samsung products so I like the brand. This soundbar is by far the worse Samsung product I have ever bought. The position of the optical socket is atrocious and difficult to put the cable into. While trying to get the cable into the socket the flap broke and disappeared into the inside of the soundbar. Spent ages try to get the cable into the socket and was at the point of sending the whole unit back when I managed to get it in. In my opinion a poorly designed and made product from a quality brand.

Excellent soundbar for the money
This is one excellent soundbar for the money, especially now the price has dropped on it. It sounds really impressive even without the optional subwoofer. However when you add the subwoofer to it, it's in a different league altogether. Especially if you like your movies and music. My only minor gripe with it is it turns off far too quickly when it has no audio input, this is by design and their is no way around this, slightly annoying when you want to pause a movie and make a cuppa to come back and find you need to switch the soundbar on again.
