I have completed numerous cross stitch patterns over a number of years. I like Dimensions kits, which are well put together and could be completed by a novice who has the patience to read the instructions and not race ahead to complete the pattern in the shortest time possible. I haven't completed the pattern yet, so I am unable to comment on the quantity of thread supplied. However on previous kits, I have found that there is plenty, provided that you use it sensibly.I have had no problems with thread unravelling, or tangling as stated in other reviews. I suspect that they are trying to use too long a length of thread. I use a single strand doubled. This is a lovely pattern, which will be perfect for my newest grandchild.

I bought this cross stitch kit a few weeks ago, as my nephew's wife is having their first baby. We have found out that it's a boy and due date is early September, so I have loads of time to finish it. It's lovely quality Aida, the design is so cute and suitable for boys or girls. I've only just started it but realise it will take me a long time as there are thousands of stitches, but it looks really good so far. Great price too.My local town shops sell kits like this for £25 This was £16.

It is as lovely as it looks, colours are gorgeous and I'm sewing it quickly as instructions and sewing chart clear and easy to understand. My only moan is that the white thread shreds as you sew, so I've used a different brand for the White. But loving every stitch

I ordered this for my soon to be niece or nephew. I'm part way through and so far it has been a good pattern to follow and is looking beautiful. It's a lot of work but I would say it is done in such a way that a novice would be able to complete it relatively easily. I read a comment before purchasing about thread quality, some of the colours are more prone to fraying but for the price that this complete set costs I think it's a tad unreasonable to complain. If you buy a similar size set from a craft shop you can be looking at nearer £30-£40. At that price I'd have an issue with lower quality thread!

It’s been years since I’ve done any cross stitch and this piece was perfect to get back into it. It was easy to stitch with only cross stitches and back stitching and there is plenty of thread available. The end result is lovely and perfect for my son’s nursery.

I finally threw it in the bin. The thread was poor quality so it was difficult to put right any counting errors. I liked the design very much and it was cheap enough but a huge amount of work and not enough thread and when I tried to email the company to get some more my email did not get there. Altogether, more bother than it was worth but perhaps some of it was my fault as I was trying to hurry it to be finished as a Christmas present.

I made this for my niece's baby, I had underestimated how much work there was and how long it would take, but am very pleased with the end result! Pattern was easy to follow and I had plenty of thread. It was for a little girl, so I bought some deep pink thread and substituted the pink for for the lettering and the blue inner and outer border

Finally completed this lovely record chart for my niece. Have made two others in matching designs when my other niece and nephew were born, so all match beautifully in their bedrooms. Pattern easy to follow. This one took longer than the others because of the chequered backgrounds on some of the panels and the pale colours go for your eyes after a while. But would still recommend this for any birth record. Could only give it 4 stars because the white thread frayed easily so used DMC thread instead.

The person who said you have to write the pattern on doesn’t know how counter cross stitch works. The pattern isn’t printed on the fabric, but the pattern is provided and you just have to count the stitches according to the pattern. So cute when it’s done!

First, I really like that the floss is all separated for you already. My least favorite thing about starting a new cross stitch is separating out all the thread and organizing it. This cross stitch comes with everything nicely labeled and organized, so you can get started as soon as you open it. Second, I've only completed 2 cross stitch projects before. Both of them took me a very long time, and I had a hard time avoiding mistakes that threw me off. The design is broken down into distinct sections, and since each different square has a background pattern, that has helped keep me from making mistakes that are a pain to correct. I recommend completing part of the background pattern for each square before beginning the animal and letter or number. It gives you more points of reference to make sure you've counted off the pattern correctly and to catch and make adjustments for any errors. This will be a gift for my neice, who is due in a few months. I think it's adorable, and the design would work for either a boy or a girl. You won't be sorry if you buy this!
