3M Heat Shrink Terminal Connector Kit 480 Piece

These are high quality ADHESIVE LINED shrink connectors which are crucial for boat electrical work - which is how I make my living so I have some experience here. Ancor Marine sells a similar kit that is nowhere near as complete and more than twice the price so I was hesitant with the quality but I am impressed and confident in these connectors and will buy MANY more. I've always used Ancor connectors.They also sell the 140 piece butt splice only kit which is great because you typically blow through those quickest and don't have to buy another whole 480 piece set to keep up your stock. Very pleased.

Top quality kit. These are crimp and shrink terminals. Just make sure you don't use a heat source that is too hot as the shrink area will fail. From my experience, using a heat gun set on low and waving it back and forth from about 4 inches away gives the best results. By doing this, you can actually see the melting adhesive flow along the wire's insulation creating a great seal plus grips the wire.

These fittings don't seem to have the flair of magnificent quality that Anchor connectors have, but so far none have failed me. The heat shrink tubing seems slower to contract than my Anchor fittings, I can't tell whether there is any adhesive on the inside or not. The case is decent -- nothing to write home about, but it hasn't cracked yet, despite spending several weeks bouncing around in my truck. If you want absolute top-notch quality, go with Anchor. If you have a bit of patience and a low budget, this set is hard to beat.

I ordered this set for our local FIRST Robotics team and it is perfect for their needs. It provides solid connections and is easy to use. The team uses a S&G Tool Aid 18900 Professional Ratcheting Terminal Crimper and heat shrinks the wrapping for secure and durable connection. When the team needs to restock, we will look to purchase this or another set with the same connectors.

WOW! Very nice heat shrink/weather/water proof terminal set!! As soon as I opened it and saw the quality of the terminals, I ordered more sets. These are the identical terminals I used to use while working at a GM dealer. These are not the crappy ones you get from the auto parts store. These are what you would use in an automotive service department if you had to do a wiring repair under factory warranty to make sure the job you did lasts forever. Great vendor, super fast shipping.

I used these to re-wire a boat, they are equal to any ancor connectors I have used in the past and I only use a typical pair of Klien crimps.The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I don't like the fake ship tactics of printing a label then waiting 3 days to actually ship, and because the merchant never replied to my Amazon message to them.As far as the product goes, buy with confidence they work.

I really wanted to love these terminals with heat shrink already attached. They are definitely convieniant, and they are of a high quality, but the shrink should be a bit thicker at the pinch point. When using crimps, the shrink gets pinched sometimes, which tears a hole near the base.Al in all, they are probably one of the better terminals that I've used, and if you overlook the shrink issue they have the best mechanical connection for electrical terminals that I've used to date.

3M nowhere to be found on any of the connectors but they seem to be good quality. The price is definitely right. I'll be using them this weekend and will change review if needed but they appear to be good quality. Just don't get the 3M part. Connectorsupply.com...would you like to comment regarding 3M branding?
