NETGEAR A6100-100PES AC600 802.11ac Dual Band (150/433 Mbps) Wi-Fi USB Mini Adapter, Black

Great little wifi adapter. I couldn't believe how SMALL it was when it first came! Worked first time, no fuss, and connected to my router at 150Mbps! I got it for a laptop on which the built in wifi was dodgy, but when I saw how fast, and how strong the signal was using it even through huge thick walls, I bought another one for my desktop, which is in the same room as my router, but now I don't have any cables! Highly recommended! :)

The item was described as new, but this is clearly a used product with all serial numbers and identifying marks scraped off, however it does work and is a great cheap solution to add WiFi to my desktop.

I have been using this for a few months now as my ethernet was somewhat erratic recently, cutting out every now and then, but this has worked perfectly. Or at least it did until I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to 10. No matter what I did, installing and uninstalling the latest drivers over and over, checking settings and all sorts. I decided to contact Netgear who told me that it will not work with Windows 10. Luckily by the time the Netgear rep contacted me, I had already got the adapter working myself, proving that Netgear do not even know their own products. Anyway, for the benefit of others who may already own this or are thinking of buying it, here is how I got it working. Do not install the latest drivers, instead install the drivers from 2012 (1021.0.716.2012). Since I installed this it has worked fine. With the newer drivers the blue light would not even come on, and if you looked in the Device manager on Windows, the adapter was listed but had a big exclamation mark saying it did not work. Hope this helps other people.

This dongle barely picked up any signal in spots where my laptop and phone would happily get a solid connection. It usually required multiple insertions/removals to activate properly on Windows 10 and 7, often saying the device wasn't recognized - probably a driver problem. What's more, it just stopped dead after 2 months - no lights, no device on plugin, nothing. If you have your computer near the router and don't plan on ever removing the device it MIGHT be worth it - but at that point you need to wonder why you're not just using a £5 ethernet cable. Don't waste your money here.

Very pleased with the product, whish as reasonabily priced and does the work as it says on the packet. Removal or preveious Net Gear AC400 very easy straight off the hard-drive and without the need for a removal code, The new software being reviewed very easy and straight forward set up with set up instructions driven by CD Rom drivers, making it literally plug in and play. Draw back that the loading of drivers and "marrying up" with the Home-hub Sever took several attempts, but I beleive that was more to do with the fact it is a fairly old server. However there was no need to use a remover tool, but re-load drivers but just start from the procedure which was indicated on the flow diagram and then using the Server's external WPS tracing and registration of the device "marying up". Again not the software being an issue, but an old server. Negative element was that total time of the loading of the data time consuming (over 40 minuets to install fully), which in part a server issue but the signal being able to "marry up" first time. If the servier new, then may have been quicker.. Pleased with the product to date, but like its predecessor AC400 , as it is a USB "Plug in and play", may not tolerate being frequently withdrawn and re-inserted in to a USB Port. If it distorts slightly through mishandling or the USB port to the computer well used and starts to become loose in the port, it may become temperemental over time (which was the case with the AS400). In fairness to the AC400 that did last for nearly 5 years. I can't comment about gaming functions of the AC600 as I use my computer for business purposes and not to play games, but frequently need to send large docuements plus attachments. I didn't require any support for installation as internal driver instructions simple and clear and so was the written verrsion.

I bought this knowing that it's not marketed as working on Linux, but the chipset is supposed to be supported by Linux since kernel 6.2 It worked on Fedora ... until it didn't. The network connection kept completely disappearing while in use, and the usb dongle would have to be pulled out and reinserted for it to reappear and reconnect to the router. 3 stars, because it worked some of the time (albeit not very fast) and because the manufacturer never claimed it works with Linux so it's partly my own fault. Replaced with a PCIe card using an intel chipset which is a much faster network connection and hasn't disconnected at all so far.

Relatively easy to install - went round in circles a little bit but thats probably just me! Hard to push into USB port inititally but once in everything is working like a dream . Bought when my previous Belkin device failed - used to 'talk' to the wireless printer. Now all good.

Prompt delivery. Well packed. Works extremely well with Dell XPS laptop and TalkTalk's latest Super Router into fibre. Unit length is good - only sticks out from laptop about 2 cms, so less likely to be damaged. Recommended. With I believe a single antenna it gives 450 on 5 ghz band

Ich benutze den Adapter an einem älteren Notebook mit XP (in Verbindung mit einer FRITZ!Box 7362 SL) um von den höheren Übertragungsgeschwindigkeiten bei VDSL zu profitieren, da die verbaute WLAN-Karte den Standard 802.11n nicht unterstützt. Vor dem Kauf hatte ich noch kurz zu Versuchszwecken einen TP-Link Archer T2U AC600 im Einsatz. Obwohl dieser Adapter Dual Band (2,4GHz / 5GHz) u. 802.11ac unterstützt, brach trotz umfangreicher Einstellungsversuche, die WLAN Verbindung sehr häufig ohne ersichtlichen Grund ab u. die stabile Netto-Übertragungsrate war bei 2,4GHz 802.11n kaum höher als 54-60 MBit/s. Im direkten Vergleich funktioniert der Netgear N300 Adapter absolut ohne Verbindungseinbrüche, liefert bei gleichen Voraussetzungen eine deutlich höhere u. stabilere Netto-Übertragungsrate von 180-270 MBit/s u. erfüllt endlich den Einsatzzweck!

Service Amazon parfait et rapide, comme d'habitude! Un de mes PC portables (ACER 1810TZ) n'est jamais parvenu à se connecter à ma BBOX sensation, alors que je ne rencontrais aucun problème wifi avec mon Sony Vaïo, mon Ipad ou mon Galaxy Note 2. Lasse d'appeler la hotline, et de reïnitialiser ma Box,après avoir restauré mon Acer, mis tous les drivers à jour et perdu des heures sur les forums, j'ai fait l'acquisition de cette clé Netgear N150 Wifi, et en 2', tout s'est miraculeusement mis à fonctionner de manière stable et parfaite. Le débit est excellent, ainsi que la portée du signal!... Je conseille vivement cette acquisition au prix vraiment modique, plutôt que de galérer vainement pendant des heures

E' gradevole all'aspetto e di poco ingombro, per l'installazione seguire le istruzioni dopo aver caricato i driver dal CD incluso nella confezione si deve collegare l'adattatore ad una porta USB e proseguire con l'nserimento della pw di rete oppure se si dispone di un router wifi con la funzione WPS ci si può collegare con questo metodo. Nel mio caso posso dire che il segnale ricevuto con questo adattatore è più alto di quello di altra marca. che usavo in precedenza la sincronizzazione può avvenirevevo con un altro di altra marca. consigliato

Lo compre para poder tener cobertura 5g y cubre perfectamente mis espectativas. Recibe muy buena señal, no suele perderla nunca y no me causa ninguna incompatibilidad con el pc. Se instala muy facil y se configura solo. Me gusta este adaptador, tiene un tamaño reducido y buena calidad.

Compré hace escasos días un Router (JWNR2010) de la misma compañía, Netgear, para mis padres. El caso es que como les está yendo tan bien, han querido ampliar el uso de la red Wifi al portátil que tienen (con WiFi G) y hemos comprado este pequeñito USB WiFi. Tiene un gran alcance pese a su tamaño, no le molesta en absoluto ya que apenas sale nada del pc y sigue siendo super fácil la configuración. 2º dispositivo que compro de esta marca y sigue siendo un acierto absoluto. Luego a mi padre le surgió una duda y llamó a su teléfono de asistencia de Netgear (gratuito) y le comentaron que este servicio está disponible 24 horas al día, toda la semana mientras dure la garantía. Un gran Acierto!!!!
