Excellent high quality shredder. Looks good too.
I bought this for my elderly aunt who gets inundated with junk mail. She was spending ages ripping her mail up, and I couldn't persuade her to just throw it straight into the recycling bin, as she was worried about her name and address being seen. I got this from the Amazon Warehouse. The price was brilliant, half of the current regular price. The box was a bit tatty, but that's all. The item itself was unused. Two years later, it's still working perfectly and it gives my aunt great peace of mind. I got her a big bottle of shredder oil too. I suspect without this her blades would be blunt by now. She tells me she never has any problems with paper jams etc. I'll get one for myself whenever I see them for sale at the price I bought this one for.

Excellent Cross Cut Shredder
Received product yesterday. Well packed. I used it last night. Well pleased. It does what it says. Very useful to have a temperature gauge, although at no point did it even venture into the red.It appears to be very robust. I tried it with ten sheets of A4 sized paper and it shredded it although it went through the shredder slowly. I found the motor to be less labored when shredding a smaller number of sheets. It was much faster and the paper just whizzed through the shredder. Altogether considering the price then I am highly delighted. Mr Hilary Riley Male 76yrs old Retired

works well, shame about the ergonomics
Excellent shredder, does the job well, not too noisy, looks good but some odd design points and it's just not designed right unless you are not going to move it . The on/off switch is tucked away at the back and the panel at the top of the bin which should let you see how full it is, is so dark it's useless. Lifting the top off is difficult - no finger places and it is very heavy but the worst thing is trying to lift the whole thing - the smooth design of the bin gives nothing to get hold of. All these sorts of shredders (this is my third, I'm hoping it is more robust than its predecessors - so far so good) are top heavy but this one seems to have been designed primarily to look good . its fine if you just put it in the corner in an office but not so good if you want to move it about or tuck it into a cupboard at home.

Fellowes Shredding Machine
Good item , works as described but only thing I would of liked is for the shredder to be able to shred more paper in one go. It gets jammed quite easily when too much paper is fed through. Had hoped that a heavy duty shredder could handle more paper in one go. Other than this, it does the job, has an auto shut off system when the motor gets too warm ... Will restart once the motor has cooled down. Has on/off button, neutral/start/reverse option.

For the price it is a well made shredder that does the job nicely.
So my previous Fellowes bit the dust (P70 CM 7 sheet cross shred) and I wanted something that was better than that one, which did the job but was noisy and had a metal basket which allowed dust to get everywhere and had to be bagged. I find the current Fellowes product line up to be confusing as there seems to be a number of products which occupy the same price and specification point. I kinda narrowed it down to 4 and then picked according to price. I have to say I am impressed with this shredder. It is fairly large, but not too large that it is cumbersome (I live in small 1 bed flat). It cuts up to 10 sheets and it is relatively quiet. It has an on/off switch as well as a forwards/backwards switch (I found turning my old one off at the wall, underneath the desk, annoying). I like the fact that it is a plastic bin with a window so that the paper dust is contained. It does not really accept bin liners like the old one did, but I just empty it straight into a recycling bag. Two bins of this fill a large London sized recycling bag. It seems robust and well made and does not sound like a malfunctioning lawn mower and I reckon it will do the job nicely.

Makes my old shredder look ridiculous
This is a lovely looking shredder that makes it clear that serious business is going on in your home office. My old fellowes shredder had broken down after about 10 years and this replacement seems to be far superior in terms of performance. I shredded about a ream of paper non stop, mostly one page at a time (and occasionally up to 10 pages at a time). This shredder did not overheat or show any signs of struggling. This shredder has a decent sized waste basket and so doesn’t need to be emptied too frequently. I like this a lot. I would definitely recommend it. This is pricey but if I get 10 years out of it, like the last fellowes shredder I bought, I’ll be happy.

Good shredder, safety bar a bit too sensitive
The shredder works well, and the bin size is ideal - not too large but also I'm not needing to empty it all the time with light use. The only change that would make this 5 stars is to improve the "safe sense" safety bar. This is too sensitive and means the shredder will sometimes turn off when my hands are nowhere near. For example if the paper is slightly too humid, or I'm holding the paper with my hand - the shredder will sense the conductivity and turn off. The best resolution for this is that I left the paper to dry out overnight before shredding. Unfortunately this safety feature can't be turned off, so I just have to wait. Otherwise a great shredder, so 4 stars overall

Excellent choice for a small business or office with less than 10 people. Mostly used for shredding less than a 100 sheets per week.

This is the second Fellowes Shredder I have purchased. The first lasted five years. The new one is working well and seems to be less noisy and is working great. I would definitely recommend it.

Best shredder I’ve owned. So far living up to its name of powerhouse.

This product is working well for us. I am using Canola oil to oil it after each time I empty the basket. I had a small bottle from another shredder that we did not oil, until it was too late. The Fellowes Shredder works well, it will chop up credit cards and paper easily. However, I decided to not do more than 3 pages at a time. It does the job for us. Delivery was on time, as promised.
