Had to replace my original base and top coat from the same brand as stupidly decided to do my nails under a skylight! (It cured the brush 🤦🏼‍♀️ ). Really recommend this duo as it lasts and not too expensive. A light buff, another base and top coat revives colour if you don’t have time to do a complete change. I’m always washing my hands and do a lot of outdoor type activities, it puts up with a lot!

Both the base and top coat are very easy to apply, go on smoothly and have a good consistency not to thick or runny. The base coat has given a good foundation for both my nail varnish colour and builder gel on separate occasions and i have not had any lifting of products at all. The no wipe top coat dries clear and has a lovely shine to it with no change or dulling to your chosen gel polish colour. Great product.

This product is very good. It’s effective. I used to have my nail done regularly at the salon I had been doing this for the last 25 years. But once I stop, my nails were damaged, they were very thin, they would split, chip and peel. I couldn’t grow them at all. I hated the way my nails looked. I’ve been using this product for the past 3 years . It’s helped me to strengthen my nails to enable me to grown them to a considerable length. If I had a nail that had split /crack at the side, I could repair it by putting on some of this product and setting it under IV Light. Stopping the Crack /split from traveling any further across the nail. Making it feel secure once again.

I thought I would try the tempered top coat (as I continually repurchase the regular no wipe top coat from blue sky brand). This formula is much thicker than normal gel top coat. It has the gooey sticky consistency of rubber base/top. It needs warmed up to make it easier to use. It’s great for layering over glitter. It looses a star because it does “yellow” after a few days of wear. Not great if applying over a French manicure or pale polish. Fine for darker colours and glitters.

As a first-timer doing my own shellac manicure, I was really unsure what brand to go for, but I honestly cannot recommend Bluesky enough! I use the base and coat with a Bluesky colour and it lasts me 2-3 weeks (you can see how much my nails have grown and the polish is intact). This is particularly impressive, because normal polish only stays on for about 2-3 days! As it says on the tin, the coat is 'no wipe' and it bakes perfectly in 60-75 seconds under a LED UV lamp. The base is also great, because you don't need to 'scratch' or file the top of your nails for it to stick - I get great results without ruining my natural nail. Speaking of, I have to say I expected my nails to get ruined after wearing this back-to-back for months on end, but, actually, I have not noticed ANY breakage or unhealthy appearance. Best of all, if you're sick of wearing colour, you can just apply the base and the top together (base->bake->top->bake) for a durable shine on your nails - get that 'no make up' make up for your nails! Pro Tip: if you want the base to stick properly, make sure you remove all oil from you nail before applying. I usually do this by washing my hands with degreaser or washing liquid (e.g. Fairy). Also make sure that the polish doesn't leak into your cuticles, as that way your layers cannot seal completely and, when water and oil get in, your polish will peel off.

I love conventional nail polish but always have issues waiting for it to dry. I don’t think I’ve ever managed a full set without at least one nail being smudged. Add on that it quickly chips, even though I try to touch up ends, the gloss goes off quickly and I end up with ragged looking nails more than beautifully manicured ones....I’ve always wanted to try the Shellac polish and had just received a dryer for it for review purposes so I bought this base and top coat set, some pretty glittery polish and of course some 100% acetone remover! Armed with some online info and the basics on drying from the unit, I did my first ever Shellac polish. I’ve never even had it done or seen it done at a salon so it really was trial by fire. I learned next time to be a bit more careful about going right to edges as the base coat spread off my left thumb and down the side of my skin. I let it dry then scraped up to edge of nail with knife to lift it and snipped along the edge with scissors, reasonably neat but next time I’ll do better. I’ve added a pic of the results, one coat base, two coats polish and one coat top, with top and coat given 60 secs drying and polish coats 90 secs. Longer than the unit says but given how easily I smudge ordinary polish I wanted to be sure it was dry. I found it easy, I even put the unit on the floor to do my foot, and I’m so pleased with the results that I’m a convert. It took me about 25 mins in all, and wow - No Smudging, Hooray! Usually by day two my nails are dulling and showing wear at the tips ( pc keyboard doesn't help ) but these are beautifully glossy as if I’d only just done them. Web info suggests it should last two weeks and I’ll be really pleased if that’s so, but whatever I’ll be doing it again once this wears off, as its so easy.

I find the consistency of these base and top coats to be extremely runny. I wiped the brush on the side of the bottle multiple times and still find it dripping within a second or two! However, I cannot fault the product once applied and set under a lamp as ever time I've applied bluesky polish using the base and top coat it has lasted 2 weeks without any lifting or chipping (I change colour every 2 weeks so i cannot speak for longer wear, but I assume it would last well up til 3 or 4 weeks also!) I would much prefer to have a thicker polish for an easy application but I would still buy these again.

Ottimi prodotti. Facili da stendere ottima resa. Con questa base e top coat lo smalto vi durerà dalle due alle tre settimana a seconda dell’uso che farete delle vostre mani. Lo utilizzo da qualche mese e non si è mai sciupata una sola unghia. Casomai perde un po’ di lucentezza verso la fine ma nulla di più. Hanno un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Li sto usando anche su smalti economici e riesco ad ottenere un aspetto impeccabile. Ho lasciato 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 per il rapporto qualità prezzo perché ovviamente ci sono top migliori che brillano di più e più a lungo ma costano anche circa 20 euro cadauno.
