101501 BASICS Acrylic Paint Tube - 6 Piece Set

I’m relatively new to acrylics and these were recommended to me- don’t be put off by the ‘basics’ title- great range of colours, decent size tubes and brilliant to work with. Good coverage, easy to mix and blend. Highly recommended- I will be buying more liquitex basics paints!

These are decent colours with a good variety of shades which is handy to mix them together to make lots of other shades. This taster set contains small sized tubes about 3" long so really handy for mix and matching. I've used these to touch up scratches on walls, skirting boards, picture frames, taxidermy and shoes. They are water soluble and go a long way. You need to put a decorator's varnish over them for a longer lasting finish. You can also get these colours in the more expensive Liquitex professional quality and in larger sizes.

Good paint and are as described. I enjoy painting with them and it’s fun to experiment with a whole new medium. The paint tubes were way smaller than expected but that was just my fault for not reading the description correctly. I had fun testing the paints until I got to the blue colour as it basically dry and unusualness. This is hella annoying as I’ll have to spend £4 on another tube which I don’t wanna do because I expected the product to come correctly in the first place.Though, things happen and I’m just glad it wasn’t all the paints that were dry.

Wanna be Bob Ross - then you need this with acrylics. Being addicted to 'The Art of Painting' and the late, great, whispering Bob Ross as its Host and resident artist, I wanted to have a go at painting like he does.He makes it so simple looking and with very few materials, I just had to have a go. But not being an oil painter instead using acrylics, here lies the first problem.Bob uses a method called wet on wet technique and requires the use of as he calls it 'liquid white'(or black or clear etc) this being a retarder that increases the drying time of the paint and allows the paint to slide and mix easier on the canvas yet stiff holding the firmness ofthe paint.With acryics your main problem is the paint dries in minutes instead of hours firstly, so you especially need a retarder to slow down drying time. In this pack you get the retarder and 6 70ml tubes of acrylic paint. 2 white, black,red,blue,yellow and green - all the basics to make any other colour in the spectrum.As the retarder goes you still have to go some to acheive wet on wet results simply because of the difference in drying time, but it does make the exercise a little more fun

Perfect afoordable bundle except the red is PINK. If you really need a primary red you'll need to buy one separately but otherwise great quality paints although very small

The paint tubes were smaller than expected but fine. the quality is great, but the blue arrived super thick and stiff, and it took me so long to get out the tube, and was so solid that it wouldn’t even mix with water. can’t use it! asides from that the other colours are great

Good quality for the price. Perfect for anyone not yet professional but want a better quality acyrlic.Look like small bottles but the paint keeps on giving :)
