Mammoth XT Ankle Support for Sprains / Arthritis / General Pains / Injury Relief

Bought these for my father (who is in his 80's) as he suffers from very bad arthritis in his ankle and I thought they might help add a little extra support for when he visits town to do his shopping. In the past he has refused to wear support bandages as he said they were uncomfortable, but he not only finds these comfy but they allow him to do a quick 30min shopping trip without having to use his walking stick! This is so much better than I could have hoped for. They are machine washable and at the price being sold, along with the freedom they have given to my father I will be buying more. I can't believe how good they are, I looked at more expensive options, but read other reviews for these and thought I would try these first - but wasn't expecting much - I couldn't have been more wrong, I am so pleased they have given my father a bit more freedom. I highly recommend this product, at the price being sold there is no excuse not to buy!

For the price, these are good. There are two in a pack, so as I only need support on my left ankle, one can be in wash. I find the seems hurt if worn for long periods, but I have only had one support before that did not do this and that one cost a lot more.

I have a tibial stress fracture near my ankle and this support sleeve helps enormously; it has a fairly tight compression which reduces the pain when standing up and also reduces the swelling. It's easy to put on & take off; I've tried compression bandages, support socks, lace-up support straps etc but this is by far the best and the cheapest. Highly recommended.

Got it on the basis that at the price I could afford to risk it being naff. .. It wasn't.The strength of support is modest but enough for some needs.The fact that there were two in the box was a bonus. Thanks Mammoth.

Fantastic ankle support, I'm really impressed by the quality, considering it was so cheap. I bought these for my mother who suffers from rheumatoid arthritis, and she says they're working wonders for her foot pain. Although they seem tight, they do expand and give room for some swelling.The delivery was fast and came generally well packaged. There's no chemically smell when you open the box either, which is nice. Overall, I think if you have an injury or arthritis, this is just the support you need. Don't let the cheap price tag put you off, there's no compromise on quality with these. Highly recommend.

This has given so much relief from my ankle pains, particularly when it's cold and wet. The delivery was not quick as some have said, and I know some people have complained about the fact they fray after a few washes. Those complaints may well be justified for something that cost over 10 quid for one, but these are under 1.50 for a pair.They work so well for me, I've just ordered 5 more packets so I have plenty of spares which will hopefully keep me going for a year or two - and if they do wear out within the year, well I'll just spend another £7.50 and get 5 more pairs! :-) Fantastic for the price

I’m only adding this review as a warning to others. It may not affect anyone else but this is what happened to me. I suffered an allergic reaction wearing these where my toes have swollen pink and are very itchy. (my ankle was itchy too but less swollen) I wore these for only one afternoon, over socks, around the house. They did feel supportive but took them off when I realized my toes where itching. So glad I did wear them over a pair of socks as I can’t imagine what may have happened if they had been directly on skin.Now I’ve never felt allergic to anything else before, that I can think of. Perhaps they need washing first? I can only think it’s the rubber used in these that I’m allergic to.Anyway that’s what happened to me. I’m not taking anti histamine and thinking of using a cortisone cream to ease the itchyness.

This is a good and reasonably priced support for ankle problems (arthritis in my case). Delivery was quick and I have found that wearing the support has given me considerable relief You have to be careful when putting the support on, as it can fray quite easily around the edges, but this doesn't seem to have reduced its effectiveness.I don't think that it would be sufficient enough for anyone with a more serious sports related injury
