Acer 43in ET430K Widescreen 4K UHD 16:9 5ms 60hz IPS (Renewed)

PROS:The refurbished Acer ET430K 43" 4k display at around $400 represents an exceptional value. Love the small bezels, watching youtube videos in 4k is jaw dropping. Great for office production, it's like having several 1080p monitors in one. I value the vertical space, so I rarely have to scroll down on websites. I also monitor charts, so being able to view multiple graphs without switching tabs is a game changer. Sound is decent, but wouldn't replace those with dedicated speakers. Unlike most large monitors, I appreciate the power brick is built into the monitor so any universal power cord will suffice.CONS:Ghosting does exist, but only for a few minutes at most. Non-issue for my use case.Upgrade might be needed to get good color. Color on my Dell XPS 8900 with GeForce GTX 745 was way off and attempts at calibration will prove a challenge for most. Changing to various built-in profiles didn't help nor manual adjustments. Decided to upgrade to a GeForce GTX 1060 (few hundred bucks more) for multimonitor support and now colors are decent prior to calibration. So, evidently the video card makes huge difference in color fidelity.CONCLUSIONOverall value for this refurbished item is fantastic. Subtracting one star for minor ghosting that lasts just minutes, and needing to upgrade my video card for better colors. I ended up purchasing a second Acer ET430K for duel 4k monitors.

Wow, This is too good to be real! I always want to have a 4K monitor. First I bought the LG 32" 4K, the color all washed out, I returned on the day I received it. When I ordered this monitor since it's Refurbished, and not sure if you noticed in the description with this line: Exceptionally large 43" screen size provides a maximum 1600x900 screen resolution? I was worry it's an unknown thing for me. It turned out it's a typo, as I got the real 4K, 3840X2160 resolution, it's automatically set to the maximum resolution as soon as I connected it. Since this is going to replace my Acer 27 inch WQHD monitor, I want to have the same quality as the Acer B276HUL, that's why I have ordered this one. It's absolutely beautiful! Even it's refurbished, it looks like a brand new monitor to me because the back penal is white, no any dust or signs showing it has been used before. No dead pixel, none. This is the best monitor I have ever owned. You need to know this sells as refurbished that's why you can have this price. Make sure you order one when it's still available. Only 2 left as I am writing now. I am sure these last 2 won't be there for very long. Get it in a hurry! I drive this huge monitor with my Dell Latitude E7470, works perfectly.now I can have all open screens on without touch them cover other.

The monitor looks great, and the cost is nice. However, I am having an issue where the monitor will periodically turn off for about 3 seconds, which can make some of my applications crash. I've tried changing the HDMI cable and then using the Display Port instead to no avail. My other monitor will not do this using the same inputs to my video card. I'm going to try switching out the power cable for a different one to see if that makes a difference, and if the result changes I will update my review. Otherwise it will be a return.

I don't understand the mixed reviewed received for this product. It's fantastic and a bargain. I bought two -- one for my home and the other for my office.It's brilliant for photo editing because you can see details much easier on the larger screen.It is also excellent for work. I used to have two monitors, side by side, for keeping multiple windows open at the same time. I replaced those with this single big screen. Much better. It has increased my productivity and made work more enjoyable.

Although the monitor has been mostly a delight, this "renewed" one is defective because it blacks out every now and then. A few times every day it goes black, then stays that way for as long as 3 seconds. I have it connected to the HDMI port on my MacBook Pro Early 2013, but that is perfectly capable of handling such a monitor. And the same issue occurs when it is connected to a desktop machine with an NVIDIA RTX 2080 Ti.There is also a small cluster of dead/grey pixels. So, I will now try to return it.

For the price, this is easy to rate a 5 for the price. I think ratings should consider both price and quality. Sure it's not as nice as a $1000 Sony monitor but it's less than half the price. The picture is great and my games look good on it as well with no ghosting. Replaces 4 laptop size screen and great for programmers and sys admins.

Great price for the size of the monitor! This is my everyday work monitor, also use for photography and some gaming (nothing hardcore). Anyone who comes over and sees it is very impressed with the size and quality. Screen looks beautiful. Extremely satisfied with my purchase.

The sound is a little distant but good value.
