I have been taking Hemaplex for many years now, my elderly mom took it, too. It is easily absorbed and we never had any adverse effects. My mom had trouble swallowing the caplets so I just bought her the capsules - problem solved.I have always had a problem keeping my iron level up, struggled with each pregnancy, are a lot of dried apricots. But ever since Hemaplex was recommended to me, not only have I not had iron level issues, but I am able to donate blood regularly, and most times my level is so good that I donate "double reds".The only negative thing I can say is that when I started taking Hemaplex I often had trouble getting the caplets out of the blister packs, even cut my finger once. For a while I just cut the pack with scissors to avoid the problem. But I would like to think that my complaints, and those of others, of course, led to better packaging and I have no trouble getting the pills out now, even though I am less and less coordinated in my mid-sixties.I highly recommend handouts and tell people about it whenever I can. I wish more local stores carried it, but with the excellent prices and shipping from Amazon, that problem has become moot.

This was very helpful in my third trimester. It got my ferritin levels up and reduced fatigue.

Easy to swallow. These pills have a vitamin smell not taste bad. They don’t disrupt your sleep. Don’t hurt your stomach so you can take them at whatever time you want. Helps with iron levels.
