⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This Hob is Basically a Tiny Culinary God - Excellent hob, highly recommend.
I bought this hob for camping, fully expecting it to be… well, hob-tier. Wrong. This little legend has exceeded all expectations. It works brilliantly, is ridiculously easy to use, and wipes down so fast it practically cleans itself while winking at me. I’ve cooked breakfasts, dinners, and a very ambitious attempt at curry on it, it didn’t complain once. Lightweight, efficient, and somehow elegant, this hob makes me feel like a gourmet chef in the wild… or at least like someone who knows what they’re doing with a frying pan. Verdict - Five stars. If camping hobs were allowed to have personalities, this one would be the friendly, dependable, slightly smug companion you invite to every trip.

Awesome little hob!
This hob has come in really handy lately as we've just moved house and are undergoing extreme kitchen renovations (no oven/hob). This hob easily plugs into the mains, is nice and compact, has 2 hot plates (1 bigger and the other slightly smaller) and is super easy to use. You can control the heat output of each individual hob independently which is a nice touch. Heats a regular sized saucepan easily and efficiently. The unit is easy to clean as it's just stainless steel. I'd absolutely recommend this product if you're lacking an oven hob. It's also reasonably priced too, in my opinion.

There is no power switch on the appliance
This has been a great hob and we have been using it for a few months now, we don’t have an oven so this is our only hob. Great to store away to save space when not in use. There isn’t an on/off switch on the appliance. You can only really turn it off at the wall. I was aware of this when buying but it really does cause problems sometimes! Even when you ‘think’ you have turned the knob down far enough…sometimes you probably didn’t! It has been left on a few times because of this. I appreciate that this can be down to user error but it would be great if it just had an on/off somewhere :)

works well
works fine good for a small space, obviously a bit slow to heat up compared to other types of cooker, but can sustain decent temperature and boil. the heat elements have a limited life span, they last about 2 years with regular use

Fantastic portable hob!
I ordered this hob as a standby for Christmas day, as my electric halogen cooker is very temperamental and I didn't want to risk it not coming on, as I was hosting on the big day. As it happened my cooker didn't let me down however, I decided to test out the portable hob. Well.... it did not disappoint! It has a large ring and a smaller one which are the same size as on my cooker. The rings heat up speedily and has variable heat settings. There is no On/Off setting, but the setting Min turns the hob off. The price is also exceptional at under 40 pounds. I have also noticed that I am using the hob more regularly now to cook food, rather than using the big cooker to heat up just one of the halogen rings. I'm very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this product!

An impressive hob at a great price...
I needed something to supplement the microwave while I while I'm renovating the kitchen, so happily I settled for the Russell Hobbs hob. Although the dimensions are given in the description, I was impressed with the size when I took it out of the box. It felt - and looked - well made. In use I've found the heat very controllable; I can put some pasta on the small ring on 'Min' and it will cook without boiling over in the time it takes me to have a shower. The larger ring is equally controllable. The photo gives an idea of the sizes of pan that I've used together; the larger one is 28cm in diameter and the smaller pan is 16.5cm. Obviously, after cooking there will be residual heat, so best to keep small fingers (and your own!) well away until it cools down.

does boil/ fry food in pans, but you need to watch out
This does work OK. Once the large stove gets going its very hot & effective. Problem is there's no way to know for sure that turning the knobs round to 'off' actually means that. There's no click or way to be sure. So you have to turn it off at the wall to be sure. Cable isn't that long, 31 inches. Only plug it directly into the wall - plugging into a plug on an extension lead means it will get very hot indeed (too hot). So its OK, but having to turn device off at the wall means you might lean across the very hot stove. Risky.

Temporary solution
Redoing our kitchen and we're without a hob for a few months. This was a really useful temporary solution, very compact (so couldn't fit large pans on, but there's only the two of us so it was fine) Did take a while to heat up, but you just allow time for that. Also had no definitive off switch, so we just made sure it was unplugged when not in use. Did the job for us, and keeping it now kitchen is finished, just in case of emergency!

I have bought a few of these now but only just realised there is a 2 year guarantee not 1 year as I thought. The longest they have lasted was 18 months. The higher large plate has stopped working on them.Bit concerned today as during cure process there seemed to be quite a lot of smoke coming from underneath and around control knob on smaller plate.I am hoping this one is ok but only time will tell!
