This is a decent item as long as you’re not working with anything really wet or solvents. I predominantly work in oil paint and pastel, am horrendously messy, and was looking for something that I could throw on that meant I wouldn’t wreck my non-art clothes when the urge to ‘just tweak’ something on the current work in progress or otherwise ‘have a quick fiddle’ with something struck me. For the oil pastels on their own and undoctored paints, it’s fine: oils are thick enough that they don’t bleed through the weave of the fabric. The minute you add a thin liquid into the mix, though, or a solvent? It tends to come through, meaning I now have a small bleached patch on a pair of denim shorts I was wearing beneath the apron having wiped my brush and fingers against it whilst using solvent to create base washes with pastels. For dry media like soft pastels, graphite, oil pastels (without involving solvent), and charcoal etc. this is a decent product at a very good price. The same for oil paints, and I imagine for some unthinned acrylics, too. It’s probably not overly suitable for watercolour, any thinned media, or anything where solvents are in use. If you do any of those and like me have a tendency towards wiping your hands and/or brush on yourself, then this is not the item for you.

I have mobility issues and cannot stand long. I bought this apron because I was painting a nest a tables. It protected my clothes exactly whenwhete I needed it to. Great pockets for my phone.
