JVC EM55FT 55-Inch 1080p 120Hz LED TV

I personally love the TV. I have the 55in. It has a wonderful picture and motion blur is a non-issue to the human eye. I know because I had a Sony 40 inch 60Hz TV and the jerky video was a real game changer, not good! Not a factor with this TV. Just check all the specs because if you want to hook up the world to this TV you might run out of inputs or may not have the right kind available. TV is worth every penny I spent on it. You will think so too..

We have had this TV for a month now. Once it was mounted on the wall, we spent quite a lot of time watching and adjusting it. We do watch some TV on AT&T Uverse as well as standard DVD and VHS. Most of what we watch is Amazon Prime and initially we struggled with the picture quality. Tried adjusting the TV but with little improvement. Considered trading up to a better TV when we were getting significant ghosting and striations. Then it occurred to me that we should check the internet speed. It was only about 3GBps on a 5GBps connection. We moved up to 8 and then 12MBps and now we have no issues. The picture is great. We tend to use the 'vivid' setting and get great contrast and image sharpness. Very happy with it now. Sound is OK but need surround sound speakers for better sound. Have tried using my Pioneer amp and JBL speakers to supplement the sound and it is more resonant but surround effect is missing. Only issue I have is that it does not detect my laptop on the HDMI input automatically every time. I have to keep pressing the function + F5 buttons to get the image on screen. Not sure what the PC input is there for.

Should have written this long ago. Piece of junk TV. Picture upside down and a big dead streak through the upper (or lower depending on orientation). Less than a year old. Won't buy JVC again

Picture was poor, because of a shadow that appeared on a 1/3rd of the screen, motion blur on the screen, and the left edge of the screen was distorted.

Much more reliable than a (not so) Smart TV.After two attempts with TCL so called Smart TVs (that I had to return), I went back to the dumb TV.This is an excellent model.PROS : Easy set-up Excellent image quality LightCONS : Why is the power cord so short ? Sound quality is averageFURTHERMORE : A mishap with the delivery - Nothing to do with the TV I purchased at the same time a sound base and love it. A great addition that gives you a near theater ambiance I purchased a Roku One receiver. Very happy with itALTOGETHER : A great unit that I am very happy with. With the additions, a near perfect setting.

terrible pic while watching sports. Not really 120 hz

INCREDIBLE PICTURE QUALITY!!! I've owned Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio, Sharp and TLC and nobody comes clear to this picture quality!! Contrast is wonderful and so is colors. Blacks are excellent!! I don't watch sports but I have watched many fast paced action movies and there was no blurred vision. Truly the best TV I HAVE EVER PURCHASED.JVC ROCKS!!!
