Rockville PPA52 Preamp Pro 1U Pre-Amplifier w/Bluetooth/USB/Computer Interface

Much to my surprise in this holiday season it arrived early and works as advertised.

The media could not be loaded.  The PPA52 preamplifier has worked flawlessly. Sound has been good, and the interface is easy to use. My only complaint is the short bluetooth range so far. The preamp is moved from place to place as the main head unit for my backyard theater rental business, and my customers and I have been extremely pleased with the sound and ease of use that it offers.

This product performed horribly. Not able to adjust bass, mid, or treble. The only sound from this device was a loud hissing noise...

If you want to use this as an Interface with Reaper, the Asio drivers will not recognize this. I give it 5 stars for the price and the pre-amp, even though it didn't go well with reaper. But, for what it is, I am going to keep it.By the way, it does interface (even in Reaper, just not in the way I wanted) ... I didn't mean to sound like the interface features doesnt work....they do!!

I bought this for adding a turntable to my rack. The other functions were nice additions. The unit works fine, the only drawback is there is no Phono Grounding post. I would recommend upgrading this unit with a grounding post and an IEC power connector.

Overall I am OK with the product, but the Bluetooth range is very limited, I am using this preamp with a Rockville Amp for my patio, and I found the bluetooth range is actually far below other devices, this is because teh antenna is inside the metal housing, so I removed the top cover, this increased the range a lot.Now I will need to cut holes in a brand new pre amp :-)

Purchased to run as a pre-amp for a vintage turntable. Works well, and the USB port was what I needed to connect it to my PC (via Dark Audacity.) Otherwise, I use it to play an MP3 playlist like a jukebox.Highly recommended.

Equipo de aceptable calidad, buena fidelidad. Lo adquirí para complementar mi equipo profesional. En general cubrió mis necesidades y ha sido un buen reemplazo para mi antiguo preamplificador casero. Los controles de bass, mid y treble delinean fantásticamente el sonido, el selector loudness aporta un sobresaliente punch y tiene una generosa cantidad de entradas. La conexión usb trasera a laptop es un gran plus y funciona bien con aplicaciones. Sin embargo, los selectores de loudness, low-cut y mono no funcionan para bluetooth y usb. No me gustó que los botones de avance y retroceso para la usb sólo son para incrementar o disminuir el volumen. Los controles de volumen en ajustes minimos no son finos o precisos. Es demasido sensible a la estatica, al acercarse al equipo introduce ruidos y hum, tal vez aterrizarlo ayude. El control de balance es terrible ya que produce tronidos en el sonido al girarlo y no separa los canales adecuadamente ya que en el punto medio produce una extraña "mezcla" de las señales R y L y al girar la perilla hacia un canal incrementa el volúmen del mismoCon todo lo anterior, le doy 4 estrellas de calificación.Recomendable si no son demasiado exigentes.
