James Wellbeloved Complete Dry Ferret Food, 2 kg

I don't write reviews but as a ferrets lover and owner I just have to write it down. This is a very harmful dry food! 27.5% of ingredients is wheat which can cause ferret dehydration and is completely indigestible because ferrets are meat eaters and don't produce digestive enzymes for wheat. Unfortunately I haven't found in UK even one dry food for ferret that doesn't contain wheat so my conclusion is to stay away from dry food if you only can and feed your ferrets with raw meet. Although there are some dry cat food on the market that don't contain wheat at all and the level of vitamins and microelements is suitable for ferrets.

Sadly my male ferret imprinted on this food as it’s the only way I could switch him off £1 cat food he was on when I got him. Even the James wellbeloved cat food is 90x better for your ferret. Always make sure the starting ingredients are meat, and lots of it. JWB ferret food starts with lots of wheat - unacceptable for ferrets! Please do not buy this. Amazon is also the only place you can get it right now. So - 5 stars Amazon, thank you for having this and delivering quick, 0 stars JWB!

First order of this product through amazon, usually buy it by the kilo in local pet store, but will save over £8.00 by the time the boys have eaten it all. Arrived on time, well packaged with no damage to product bag. Excellent food for ferrets, all mine are in very good condition. Vet recommends occasional bit of road kill rabbit (complete with fluff) to ensure enough roughage is going through the system to avoid issues with blocked anal glands!! In the summer, at least there are no fly blown food dishes to contend with. Used for kits from 8 weeks of age (soaked) to maintenance feeding of the adults (dry). None ever wasted.

My ferrets got very sick after this particular bag of food. I used the brand before and had no problems. It seems that the last bag had toxic food. It took me a while to realise that it was the food making them ill. I have switched to a different brand and the ferrets got better within days after months of feeling weak and heavy diarrhoea.

Great dry food for ferrets in biscuit form. No need to give them any other type of food, just water. Tried several types of ferret food and my ferrets prefer this one. Convenient, ready prepared, easy to store and ferrets keep fit and healthy.

Bargain price and delievered to my door.I have no complaints about this food.My polecat who will be 3 this year and doesn't like to eat raw meat, feeds purely off this.She is very healthy, with great teeth, shiny coat and hardly has any odor.Highly recommend this food!

My ferret prefers this over all other kibbles she's tried, and she's tried a lot of them. The ingredients are good too, it's very high in protein which some ferret kibbles aren't. I thoroughly recommend

I have kept pet Ferrets for over 11 years and fed them James Wellbeloved from the very beginning. I have never had any problems with this make of Ferret food whatsoever and my ferrets have benefitted from their food with their bright eyes, clean teeth and super shiny coats. Normally i would purchase this 10KG bag from my normal supplier but after doing a bit of shopping around i found the same bag for much cheaper! The subscriber price is fantastic and I will keep buying from Amazon for all my Ferret food needs!
