Good and Fit and Works well...
I bought it. It works. I am just too unskilled and uncomfortable with SAS so far. I had to sell it. It was an awkward purchase for the time but the item was good and fit.

Good - As described
I wanted to format 525 Sector drives to 512 Sectors, it didn't work for me but otherwise enclosure did a good job, no complaints.

Simple to use
Paying attention to HDD insertion as directed by instructions, HDD insertion is easy - just don't force it. Screws for permanent HDD attachment to tray are provided as well as screws for external permanent connection of tray to case. For temporary use or HDD testing, external tray/case connection can be sufficient. Rubber foot pads are provided for the case for long term use. Simple, well constructed, case.

Plug And Play
The overall design and construction of this product are impressive. It’s really well-built, with a solid, no-frills construction and almost no plastic parts. The enclosure is incredibly lightweight—so much so that I initially thought the shipping box was empty until I shook it. It features plenty of ventilation holes along the back to ensure proper air circulation and heat dissipation.One clever design aspect is that when you insert a drive, it doesn’t connect until the door is closed and the drive is pressed into place. The enclosure is the same size as a 3.5" drive and has matching screw holes, so it can be mounted wherever a standard 3.5" drive would fit. Setup is straightforward, and I haven’t encountered any compatibility issues with disks or computers—it’s truly plug-and-play and very user-friendly. The read/write performance has been excellent so far. I’ve only used it for a short time, but I’m hopeful it will remain reliable in the long term.

This thing is SLOW. My enterprise SSD barely performs faster than a 5400 RPM HD
250 MB sequential read. (verified with both packaged cables as well as my own usb 3.0 cable)This is SLOW.This is at least 20x SLOWER than it should be, and barely faster than my old consumer grade 5400 RPM external HD.The enclosure is NOT built well. It looks nice, but the piece that contains the SSD slides around. You can't push the power button without sliding the SSD around, and this would definitely not be good to travel with.

Inefficient cooling
Parts of the case are made of plastic, overheating the controller board and damaging internal components, even in air-conditioned environments.

1st SAS to USB that really works, but very expensive.
This is the first SAS to USB enclosure I've had that actually does what it advertises. Had problems at first with drive seating. Hard to push the drive into the connector on the enclosure. Transfer rates are similar to SATA. Up to ~120MB/s, but not what you'd normally get with SAS drives and a real controller. SAS are enterprise drives normally found in data centers with good cooling. Drives in this enclosure run HOT, but don't know about longevity. You wouldn't want this running 24/7 on your desk.

Great USB SAS Bridge
This device worked for my purposes, which was to wipe drives while I work. I only gave it 4 stars because I feel the case needs a fan to keep the drives cooler. Also the chipset doesn't allow s.m.a.r.t to pass through over usb for SAS or SATA drives. My external SATA enclosures can do this.
