Excellent Calculator
This tabletop calculator is superb. Just the right size, it's light in weight but robust and has good sized buttons and clear digital readout. The price for the item is pretty much spot on as well.Don't bother purchasing cheaper alternatives. I did once, and I ended up with a horrible flimsy thing that died after a couple of weeks.

IF YOU ARE JUST GOING TO USE THIS TO BALANCE YOUR CHECKBOOK IT'S PERFECT
ALL THINGS CONSIDERED THIS IS A GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY. BUT BE WARNED THE INSTRUCTIONS PRINTED ON THE BOX ARE CONFUSING AND OBVIOUSLY MADE FOR SEVERAL OF THE COMPANY'S CALCULATOR MODELS. FOR INSTANCE DON'T GO SEARCHING FOR THE SQARE ROOT KEY, THERE ISN'T ONE. ALSO THERE IS NO EXPLANATION FOR WHY THERE IS A "GT" KEY OR AN "MU" KEY OR AN ARROW KEY. THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE INDECIPHERABLE, BUT YOU CAN FIGURE MOST OF IT OUT, AND THE PRICE IS GREAT. I'M SATISFIED SO FAR, BUT I JUST GOT IT.

There is no off button
I like that the numbers display is tilted up. Also numbers are large and easy to read. There is no off button, but I use it on solar power and I did not put in a battery although there is a place for one. I keep mine in a drawer, as soon as I pull it out of the drawer it comes on.

Good key spacing, good tactile feedback and correct numbers.
This calculator does the job for the simple stuff the keypad has good tactile feedback and if you want the cheapest calculator you can get you may have found it. It doesn’t have a square root key but then does the ordinary Joe need that function. The finish on the case don’t compare to the name brand calculators but then they cost a couple of dollars more and the finish of a case don’t make the calculations bettor. This calculator is purported to operate with battery power or solar cell power I first tested it without a battery just solar power it didn’t work. . Next I added a AAA battery and it worked fine.To me the important things are good key spacing, good tactile feedback and correct numbers. It does that

Lightweight and portable Don’t need battery!
Portable solar charging calculator! It’s super lightweight and the buttons are easy to push, don’t need to put too much pressure unlike a lot of other calculators. My work bag is super full but this little calculator somehow fits. No need to spend money on battery. It’s my handy calculator and perfect for anyone who needs one for calculating numbers as myself! 👍

Cheap, you get what you pay for, I don’t recommend purchasing this.
The keys don’t always work when pressed, including the decimal point which can be very difficult to see. I have to watch closely to confirm the numbers registered correctly. If I go fast and don’t watch closely, the final numbers are way off because of this, very frustrating! I’ve tried hitting the keys very hard, but they still sometimes miss, and I’m sure this will wear it out prematurely. Also, the face is black, the numbers are black, and the screen is very dark too, making the numbers very difficult to read. I use it in solar mode only, maybe battery power is better. But to me, the purpose of solar is to avoid batteries. Definitely do not recommend and would not purchase again.

At $8 I shouldn't complain... but I will!
I know... $8 and it functions, so just shut up, right! Well, okay yes... it functions. It does basic math and stuff. One thing I do like about it is the solar power thing. It actually works in the dimmest of lights. Even the computer screen provides enough light to make it work. I read in one review where the guy said he put a battery in it just in case there's sometimes not enough light. But if there is enough light to read the screen, there's enough light to power it!Two major things I don't like though. One is the All clear function and the Clear Entry function. If you do a calculation and put the result in memory, then you there's no way to clear the screen without wiping out the memory. I find it annoying that All Clear, wipes out the memory. It shouldn't. Only pressing the Memory Clear key should do that. (It would also be nice if these calculators would hold whatever is in memory even after you turn it off so it's there when you come back... but I know none of them do that). The other problem is the keys have a "wobbly" and unstable feeling about them, which makes it hard to be accurate with your key presses when you're moving fast. And the fact that the calculator is so light, it moves around on the desk when you press the keys, making it even more unstable and more difficult to press what you want.Anyway, with that said, it was just 8 bucks and it does perform the calculations accurately, and it has a 12-digit readout. So, if that's what you want, it should be fine for you. I ended up buying a different one that was double the price but solves the problems I mentioned here.

Great fit
I sent this calculator to my mother who is over 80 years old, and with a little training over the phone she is doing fine. Her old calculator was 40 years old and had become unreliable. Great purchase!
