Leupold Alumina 50mm and Standard EP Flip Back Lens Cover Kit

I was unsure about buying these because of the price. I'm very impressed with the overall quality and ease of installation. Perfect fit on my freedom 4x12x50. You get what you pay for! Great scope caps!

The media could not be loaded. Built solid and easy to install. All aluminum construction so it will hold up and lost along time. Noticed no noise while opening or when closing will be great not to spook game. Caps make a nice seal to keep my lens clean. Really neat addition to a already great scope.

I received an older Leupold silver scope (VX-III 3.5-10x50mm) that looks brand new but was well used for over 6 years. The Optics are still Great and since I dropped $2K on a custom SS .30-06 rifle-what was another $80 bucks. As has been said before, these Alumina Flip-Back Lens Covers fit like a glove, work flawlessly and greatly compliment the looks of the scope and rifle. I initially hesitated as these covers are a matt black, but find they look great on the silver finished Leupold scope.Precision-Quiet-Solid-Elegance all come to mind in describing these lens protectors. Won't leave home without Em'!

The scope covers seem to be well built but I haven't yet attached the front cover after receiving them a couple weeks ago. The rear cover attached without any trouble but the front won't screw on until I remove the scope from the rifle. On my rifle, the edge of the scope is just about a 1/16 off the top of the barrel and so there is no room to screw the scope cover on as the bump-out that is used to "flip" the scope cover open, hits the barrel when trying to screw it onto the scope. Not really a problem but I'll need to remove the scope, attach the scope cover, remount the scope and then re-site-in the rifle. I'll do it in the spring.

These are the best scope covers you can find anywhere, bar none. They're excellent quality, they open into a folded back position, they fit perfectly... what more can you say other than they're kind of expensive. :) You get what you pay for. If I spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on a quality Leupold scope (or over $1,000), I can't put $10 universal plastic lens covers on it. It's just not right!Truly, these are excellent quality and I will buy more of them should the need arise.

Nice covers, but they don’t fit my scope. The front cover fits, but the eyepiece is too small for this model.To the seller’s credit, I was able to return the covers for a full refund.

These are a vanity purchase. There are cheaper that work just as well and potentially better. On the good side, these are high quality, quiet and because they are attached, I never have to manage removeable covers and have no opportunity to misplace or lose them. I'd love to give them 5 stars, but I just can't.The objective cover required I really, really tighten it. When tight, one of the 3 protrusions perfectly conflicted with the barrel and I couldn't mount the scope. But really screwing it on there, I moved it just far enough to work. The objective now works great (but I feel lucky).The ocular cover will always suck. On my Leupold scope, I focus with the ocular barrel cover. This means you spin the lens cover around. This has 2 problems. First, it hits the stock at 2 points and jams up. Second, you can never get used to where the open button is, it moves. I'll live with it, but marginal solutions with huge workarounds bother me. Especially bothers me on a vanity item.The last is trivial, but I never expected this. The gold "L" is not aligned with the scope. I know it doesn't mater, but on the Objective lens, I really just expected it to look like all the pictures.Maybe my covers are defective, maybe I got Chinese counterfeit covers. Maybe. I did consider buying a 48mmx1mm O-Ring so I could have more options where to stop screwing. But for $100 bucks, I shouldn't have to fix it. Oh well, I really wanted to love them, I do love my 3.5-9x50mm HD scope.Update: I removed the ocular lens cover, I can't focus with it attached. I do really like the objective lens cover, it is quick and easy to use. I should have just purchased that one cover.
