The light is already fading after 5 monthsThis company does not stand behind it’s product. When I informed them that this light was having an issue. They offered to sell me a new one. The light I had to replace lasted over three years.

This projection lamp was received and correctly installed only 2 months ago and the lamp has just gone out last Wednesday (8/8/12). The TV stopped working, indicating the lamp had gone out, and I replaced the one I just got from you with the previous "dim" one, which immediately worked, so it can't be an issue with the TV. This is the second one of these expensive projector lamps I have bought through Amazon in the last 9 months that hasn't performed nearly as well as the Sony originals. If these aftermarket lamps either won't shine as brightly or last very long, I might as well invest in the Sony direct lamps. The first two Sony lamps each lasted at least 2.5 years before even starting to dim. I replaced the second good-quality Sony lamp with an Amazon-purchased aftermarket lamp last November and just ordered another, more expensive one last May 28 because the previous one got so dim everything on the screen looked like night scenes. This is a very bad track record for these supposedly "OEM Quality" projector lamps. I think I want my money back and will order these direct from Sony from now on. Since they are so much brighter and last much longer, they are obviously the better bargain. I'll guess that some of these may work fine for longer periods, but they're not worth consumers gambling over.

The bulb worked less than 30 days before we got a message on the tv saying the bulb was nearing the end of its life. I will pay the extra money and buy my next bulb directly from Sony.

The product was excellent. It was exactly what I was looking for.product was packaged well. It saved me $200 the guy at the tv store wanted $300...yeah ok I was not paying that for an old TV. Just trying to keep an old TV running for the kids play room. Thanks
